There's something so honest about someone laying bricks. Of all the things that human beings achieved, laying bricks just seems so fundamental, so poetic. Thanks for the video 👍

You put more effort into 3 rows than they did in my entire new build.

I really appreciate how you focus on technique, over technicality. Probably the first bricklaying guide for beginners that I have actually enjoyed watching.

Bricklaying is artwork , no question and this is a master at work . Wonderful video.

Mate you are an excellent teacher. The muscle memory is obvious...almost like dancing.

My uncle was the bricklayer in the family building business, went with his brother "on spec" to Rome. Something big happening, couldn't get accomodation, walking the streets came across a gang of builders - "thars not way t'lay bricks lads". Taking off his jacket, rolling up his sleeves "giss us thee trowel an' keep th' mortar comin'". Had the wall up rapid, back next morning to finish off,  free board,  lodgings and beer for a week. True story, I can see him "brickin" now (but he didnt use that jointer tool, in Lancashire was more like weathered pointing, cut with the brick trowel).

Why is this so relaxing and satisfying to watch? Thank you sir, half tempted to go buy some kit.

Very nice Budd. My grandfather was a bricklayer for 55 years, reluctantly retired at 70. Its like watching him work again, very good! Thanks for the video!

Excellent, I like how you show the technique so thoroughly and with patience.

What a brilliant video. Thank you. A real master of your craft.

I was randomly thinking about building a wall today and this video popped up. Life is strange. Great video btw

You're a good teacher. Thanks for posting this.

Thank you for this tutorial it’s very helpful. If I could do things all over again I would be a bricky, instead of sitting in an office all day, which anyone can do.
My only criticism is as a DIY bricky, doing the lines is very difficult; I wish you had shown how you put up the lines. 👍

Great, no nonsense tutorial. Many thanks 😊

At last a skilled professional bricke who is a fantastic teacher taking the time to show the proper way to lay bricks. No open gaps, this guys work will outlast all of us. Who knew bolster was half a brick?

Lovely old accent there - Americans may be struggling but even as a Yorkshire boy I love hearing this. Great 👍

I love the perfectionism in this!! great video, now I feel more confident laying about 5 bricks in my garden! 🙂

Top man
Makes it looks easy, but it is indeed a hard graft.  Respect for a working class man

Good stuff i remember learning years ago, and had to build single brick walls. The first thing we did was set up the level so we knew how and where to set up the first brick 89 was a lifetime ago 😂

I've always been fascinated by bricklaying. the skill! the beauty! the utility!  --  I love this vid!
