Jacob released this in December 2016. He was then 21 years old!😳

Thank you so much for this reaction. Jacob's music helps me calm down and at the same moment feel connected to everything on Earth so profoundly... sometimes my emotional reactions to his music get so strong that I need another nervoussystem to listen alongside with me. 😅❤

My favorite part about watching a reaction vid to this song is wondering ahead of time how the reactor is going to react to the G Half Sharp transition (and the transaction back).

Composer June Lee who did this translation was doing these from the start. There are also videos out there of him being interviewed by Lee.

Thanks for this reaction! The transcription vids are so awesome, so so surprised you’re the first to react to one. Would be awesome if you did more :)

I mean even before the modulation into G half sharp Jacob modulates from F major into what feels like a huge leap upwards but in reality it's a step down to E major.

I'll be back. I have to check the original first, missed it somehow. Cool!

Wow!!! 😮 Holy Cow!!!

For anyone who hasn't seen it, here is a video clip where Jacob talks about modulating to G HALF SHARP (both "how" and "why"): https://youtu.be/HUGoUHKAGAE?si=EnCyoMcGA_0Hmwym

This is also a wonderful sacred song. I don't think Jacob is a Believer (in Jesus), but it's a superb rendition of this classic carol with the less usual tune (Harold Darke) and beautiful lyrics (Christina Rossetti). It's worth checking out the stories behind the music and lyrics...
