A mother's prayer for her son is a quiet request that the Lord protect him on the road, in labors, and amid temptations. ✝️

This is the author's prayer: the mother entrusts her son to God's will and asks for his health, understanding, and strong faith. Mothers have long brought such petitions to Optina Pustyn, the Pochayiv Lavra, and Valaam, where the names of loved ones are commemorated during the reading of the Psalter.

Read it before bed or whenever your heart worries about your son.
