It's been a while since I've played Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike and I decided to go through the arcade mode... with literally the worst character of the game. Let me just tell you why Sean in 3S SUCKS! Let me know in the comments below how you feel about him!

Gill had me almost shedding tears of frustration back in the day

Poor Sean, everyone else is playing 3S while he just wants to play bas-ket-baaaaaall 🙃

"Why is sean low tier?"

His tatsumaki leaves him negative on hit.

"After a few tries, I defeated a Greek demigod with the powers of fire and ice with some martial arts training and a beach ball."

Sean: Man, I’m killing it in NG and 2I.

3S: About that….

if you can't win with the worst characters, you're not that good

The sad part is that even if he hadn't been good in 2I, his kit still sounds really good. He could be part shoto like Ken/Ryu, but he could have his own unique take that shows his lack of skill (like Sakura). He could even be part grappler like his sister.

Plus, in canon, he's a lot like Sakura. I honestly hope they meet someday, it would be a nice parallel to have Ken and Ryu's students (two close friends themselves) be buddies.

Funny how SF3 NG and 2I's Sean was top tier. Then 3S happened.

Wow, he even beat it before the difficulty lowered. (For those that don't know, if you lose to him enough times in a row he taunts to signal the game is starting to show mercy. The game actually turns down the difficulty when he does that.)

This may have been posted, but Bafael has already compiled a fairly comprehensive list of reasons why Sean is the worst character in the game: https://youtu.be/AjS1imDYkVM

6:08 - for real that's one of the first things that really got me into 3s. The hadouken supers and such have the clothes that spike in the back, the artwork is SO clean

Sean is so bad in this game that even a casual like me can instantly tell just how bad he is. There's just...nothing you can do with him.

That last part was SO Satisfying. I have 4 mains in 3S and Sean is #4.

I always hated that Capcom nerfed Sean in Third Strike. He was a great character in New Generation and 2nd Impact. His double uppercuts hit hard and his ground tackle is a grab and not a hit. Now he got a lame uppercut that is not really effective and his tackle is a hit and not a grab. Even his Tatsu have recovery now.
