To experience the Karwendel Nature Park up close. My journey took me from Reutte via the Ehrwalder Alm and the Gaistal valley to Leutasch and up into the Karwendel valley. The picturesque Karwendel mountains enchanted me so much that I decided at the Karwendelhaus to complete the entire loop.
Fatigue, physical exhaustion, and especially knee pain, along with the exhilaration of the mountains, were my constant companions. After 163.60 km and 2,936 meters of elevation gain, I finally made it home under my own steam.
