It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single cookie tin in possession of nothing, must be in want of sewing supplies.

Cute. My spouse brought me home a tin of those cookies once saying "Look, I got you a sewing tin, we just have to get rid of these pesky cookies first."

The way I see it, every time I buy a sewing tin, it comes with free cookies inside.

At this point in my life, I always approach a cookie tin expecting to see some delicious sewing supplies and get disappointed (and confused) when I find cookies.

My grandma had 4 tins... One with sewing supplies, one with a first air kit basically, one with office supplies and one with hair clips and pins and she had one HUGE ONE drum sized, full of tools! 😂 Never any cookies...

God I have so much respect for a high-effort joke 😂 - this is a delightful multidisciplinary project

Schroedinger's Cookie tin: a thought experiment in quantum mechanics where a tin could be considered to be simultaneously holding cookies and sewing supplies

You made a mimic.....a delicious instead of vicious one, but a mimic nonetheless 😂

The whole basket project is adorbs, but now I want a tutorial for that anatomical heart pincushion!

Am I the only one to be interested in a tutorial for the realistic heart pin cushion!?😱😍🤩

The anatomically correct heart would be perfect for Snow White hunter or Queen costumes.

It’s so odd and also endearing how cookie tins as sewing supply storage are such a universal thing. My grandma was born and raised in Eastern Europe, has spent a good chunk of her life in Middle East and now resides in the same town she was born in. Yet I still vividly remember finding spools of thread in a cookie tin on her dresser when I was five

I think the second basket could be a foraging basket, if you added some type of strap to carry it. They both look delightful!

I just discovered Royal Dansk cookies come in a large 43oz/3lb version! I now have a super large sewing tin and am so excited.

Fun fact: These tins are unknown in Denmark. They are exclusively made for export. You can find the type of cookies...in cheap packaging on the bottom shelves of supermarkets. They are considered inferior to the homemade ones.
(I have seen them in Denmark in tourist shops, but never in normal stores).

The anatomical heart is the coolest pin cushion

@rebeccak918 11 months ago

I love the anatomical heart pin cushion!

I love that when you have an idea, you COMMIT to it. All those cute details on the top of the basket really makes the whole thing, when you could have just as easily skimped on fully wrapping the spools and such and still had a great result.
