His dad literally created a racing robot. His mom encouraged his racing too but his dad was maniacal about it. Taking random parts off cars and telling Max to drive and figure out which part was removed. Max is probably the only driver in F1 now who you could leave in a garage with all the parts and no instructions and build the damn thing to spec. He understands the cars on THAT level. Alonso is similar in his knowledge as was Kimi (The REAL Kimi). But the end result was a human that was for all intents and purposes a robotic racer that would out perform the cars standard operating parameters everytime he got into the damn thing. Guy is unreal. I dont care that it made the sport predictable, we get to witness this dude race.
I started watching F1 in 2023 and hated max for winning all the time then my opinion started to change in 2024. Then by 2025 after his face turn, I love this guy. A pure competitor at heart but also seems like a good dude.
Max Verstappen's dad is Jos Verstappen (Johannes Franciscus Verstappen), a former Dutch Formula One driver who competed from 1994 to 2003, securing two podiums. Jos was instrumental in Max’s career, managing his development from karting to F1 and often providing outspoken commentary on Max's teams,
I knew he was different from the start. You could see it in his personality. He didn't care. He never gave a shit about what anyone else was thinking. He had one objective, perfection. That's it. As crazy as Schumacher about it, but with even more work I think and less kindness. There are many who pretend that they don't care, that act cool. Alonso, Kimi, Vettel, Hamilton, and they're all great drivers. But Max doesn't care at all. He cares more than anyone about the single most important thing for being a race car driver: being the fastest. Being perfect.
Drives f1 cars before getting a license* Wins in a ferrari before hamilton* Gets abandoned at a gas station* Overtakes on a golf kart with his wife and kids on it* simply lovely
Max is a force of nature. The last time F1 had a driver like him was probably when Senna was around. I'm personally a McLaren/Lando/Hamilton guy, but I have huge respect for Max and he is the kind of driver you should never, ever underestimate.
Max had the advantage of getting into racing early, but to reach the very top it takes real discipline and genuine speed. 2021 was controversial, but no one can deny it: he’s a winning machine.
