you know, I was a bit sceptical a first but after watching this episode I realised I wasn't watching you for Minecraft, I was watching you for Dallas. NEVER CHANGE WHAT YOU LOVE.

As a major player of VS, the amount of hilarious face-palming while he makes mistakes and learns is just... nostalgic. I miss the days of learning the game on my own. This reminded me of all those funny trial and error moments and screams of terror as I died falling down pits, wolves, bears, and the rusty hordes of the damned =D

This game looks pretty darn good, love how in-depth the toolmaking is and how good the world looks! I'll be watching for sure 🙂

this was literally my 1st experience watching this game and it was awesome. I could watch this all day, i know nothing about it so this series will be "my" 1st play through and i cant wait for the next episode Mr Copper Lord

When using clay and forging, Press F to access more options to make it quicker.
When it comes to mushrooms, it will say if they are edeble or not when you puck them up.

I hope you stick with this game, its sooooo underrated im sure youll love it! Also the skin color options were weird because your character isnt human, but rather a seraph! I wont spoil anything, but you're canonically not human for a reason. This game has a TON of lore

Hey, welcome to the Vintage Story gaming sphere. I'm new as well, barely started a week ago. But I'll drop some minor tips here for some of the mechanics to help you get settled in before winter (barely 10 mins in, so you might have figured some out.)

1: Pressing 'H' while hovering over an item in your inventory will take you to it's journal page where you can see what recipes can be made with said item. Similarly, holding Shift+H while looking at a block in the world will open that blocks journal page.

2: When Knapping, Clayforming, or Forging, if you hold 'Alt' (or whenever you want) will prevent your camera from moving, letting you move only your mouse. Makes the knapping/forming/forging process a little easier.

3: 'M' opens your map, Right click lets you place map markers. If you find ANYTHING of interest, it's generally a good idea to place a map marker. (Eg, you find a patch of edible mushrooms, make a marker because after some time and conditions, the mushrooms will have regrown in the same area you harvested them from.)

4: Less a tip, more a tidbit. There IS some instability with the ground and which blocks are affected by it. By default in the default world type, only sand and gravel is affected. If you select one of the harder world types, or customize your world, you can include more things like soil.

5: Skipped a bit forward to see you clayforming and if you press F (don't hold) while holding clay and looking at what you are making, you can select different tool modes. For clayforming, there's the 1x1, 2x2, and 3x3 options as well as a 4th tool mode which lets you duplicate the previous layer (which is an absolute godsend.)

Vintage Story content always gets a thumbs up. The game needs more exposure. The devs are absolutely amazing.

I will 100% watch this. You were right, I was suspicious if I was going to like this game, but I do now!

This game is highly immersive it can be kinda tedious.. but not in an unfair or arbitrary way, so instead you feel accomplishment.   it's pretty addictive
