I was stuck on the highway between Ellensburg and Yakima when the ashfall hit. It was total darkness at 10 o’clock in the morning. We had to stop our car dead stop on the freeway with our flashers on finally made it to Yakima. I don’t know how!! Finally made it to our home.played Pink Floyd out the window, lit up a joint, filled the bathtub with water and enjoyed the eruption
And we enjoyed the sun rising from the south the entire thing was unreal

This is one of the best videos of Washington state I have seen thank God It doesn’t concentrate on Seattle and shows the rest of the state which looks like Jurassic Park.

I lived on Whidbey Island for a few months. I would go back there in a heartbeat.

I live in Central Washington state the snow covered mountains on one side the arid desert on the other. I’ve toured the Hanford site. If anyone gets a chance to tour it take it. It’s probably going to be too contaminated in the future.
