40+ Tips I Wish I Knew Sooner | RuneScape: Dragonwilds

I've spent 30+ hours playing RuneScape: Dragonwilds since its release, and during that time, I have developed a pretty strong understanding of the game.

So, I thought it would be a good idea to share this knowledge with the aim of helping other players get the best possible experience out of the game and avoid some of the same mistakes that I made.

These tips vary from beginner-friendly to more advanced and cover a wide range of areas in-game. For clarity, I have broken these tips down into the following seven categories:

Food and drink
Gathering
Building
Crafting
Exploration
General, and
Combat

I have tried my best to avoid spoilers. However, given the nature of the video, it is possible that I will discuss parts of the game which you have not yet been exposed to.

I couldn't figure out how to windstep to an area in the wilderness so I gathered some wood and built stairs lol

Pro Tip: Make it your goal to place a lodestone in front of every dungeon door. This allows you to easily farm cores and other mats in those dungeons, but the dungeons are also placed in such a way that they act as pretty decent fast travel checkpoints around the map. You can also build small little bases around those lodestones with a bed and other stuff that can quickly prep you for a dungeon run (maybe even storage to dump stuff in after you're done as well!)

for charcoal its better to use planks, because 1 wood gives you 2 planks, so you will have double of charcoal. Nice video man, loved your base

My biggest tip I've learned is to hit esc and then hit x for "hold to unstuck" and it teleports you to the initial lodestone in the church. So if you're far from a lodestone just do this and you can tele from there to whatever lodestone

I have played around 50 hours of Runescape Dragonwilds and around 4500 hours in OSRS and ever since this new game came out, ive been amazed on the low quality of guides that theres been on this game. So most of my knowledge in gam has been experience, but im glad that you know even more than I know and that you took your time to share to us in such an organized way. Thank you man. I hope this game goes big.

Higher food is almost always worth it due to a couple of factors.

you save on inventory space by compressing the food.

positive effects like life ward and perk buffs.

Tip 1 bit you missed. Huge part of higher quality food is it allows for higher healing without overeating. Vegetable soup heals more than a potato and cabbage combined but yes, less sustenance. Cooked veggies for skilling, full dishes for combat encounters

The pond outside of the village is half T1 and half T2. Its got lots of trees and some bushes nearby, but the main thing is that there are always chickens outside my front door

Haha, all I eat is cooked berries because it can hold a higher quantity and it only takes up 1 space in my inventory. 😂😂😂

You say that if you build in Temple Woods, you don't get raids. You do. They are a level 1 mob, though, so it's no big deal, but for anyone just starting, know you can get raids. Dragon attacks, however, only happen in tier 2 and higher, but if you have someone who is in that area and gets attacked by the dragon, you will hear and see the dragon; he won't attack. Build your base with the in game block walls as one of your bases boarders. Meet the raid outside of the brick wall. Hop over it and stay in front of it. The raid will stand in front of the brick wall and never damage your base. Easy way to rank up magic or bow.
