"OH she's only a 18 years old KID, she didn't knew what she meant when she intentionally waited until the family gathering to call her a WHORE in front of her entire extended family, she was just an innocent manipulated little 18 years old girl", fuck off with that shit, actions have consecuences, being 18 is a good age to start learning that, at 18 I knew much better, skill issue

While saying she didn't want to be stepdaughter's mother anymore is a bit much...I get it. While the stepdaughter was manipulated, she went into this fully intending to ruin OP's marriage and reputation. That's not a whoopsie, that's definitely the type of thing that could cause a step-parent to peace out. I don't blame OP for reacting the way she did, and while the stepdaughter getting to hear those words was very unpleasant, OP didn't know she was on speaker so that really wasn't her fault.

Don't try watching the screen in the background. It's on a fixed track it'll never hit the corner

Feel like I'm going crazy lately with how many people genuinely infantilize 18 year olds. I know they don't "suddenly become mature adults" they moment they reach an arbitrary age, but at 18 you should ABSOLUTELY know right and wrong.

i think you all got a little confused; the step mom and daughter were close until the biomom came back when ella was 17; THEN she became distant

"She was manipulated though"
Excuses. She knows what she was doing, and she knew better. She made a conscious choice to harm someone who'd been a positive part of her life for her birthgiver who didn't give a shit about her, just harming her ex husband's life.

Stop babying 18 year olds. People treating them like they aren't adults is why we have so many adults that still act like they're 5 and have no ability to handle any social situation with the slightest bit of maturity.

An 18 year old should not be snooping through their parents shit. If they find porn in there, that's HER fault, not the step moms. This isn't a 10 year old. This is someone who can legally purchase porn herself. That's an ADULT.

Why are we acting as if the ADULT that made her own descisions is this little toddler that cant understand right or wrong?? SHE made the decision to out her, SHE treated her poorly, so how in the hell is op the asshole for not wanting to be connected to someone that could do that to her? I get yall are old but 18 year olds 100% know that doing revenge porn of your stepmom is fucking wrong.

She was not manipulated. She was told her stepmom did porn, was given proof of that and from that knowledge became distant and eventually she blew up at the gathering. She made a concious decision because clearly she disagreed with her stepmoms past

yes the daughter was manipulated but when she was calling op mom, that means at some point she saw op as her mother, her parental figure, they had a bond of friendship, all that got trumped when the bio parent came back and tried to hurt not only her daughter, her husband, but the family relationship. The daughter was used as the trigger to set this off but she still did it, she betrayed her new mom for the old mom, she betrayed her father by doing this at family dinner, she betrayed the family, and made the last 6 years essentially mean nothing when she's been there and was the parent. This wouldn't be any different if there was no sex stuff involved and the new mom did a whole bunch of stuff for the daughter and the old mom comes back and the daughter just treats her like shit and acting like she doesn't matter, she's so desperate for someone who cut her away once instead of choosing the people who were there for her. She cut the pillow and the feathers are flying, honestly such a betrayal even if they were blood related and she did this in a situation where she saw her mom's sex tapes and tried to break her up with a new guy this is really scummy behavior and yeah 18, manipulated but actions have consequences and some bridges only need a match to burn rome wasn't built in a day but fell in one situation the daughter's choice destroyed 6 years of love and bonding I think it's perfectly fair to not see her as her daughter anymore, they aren't blood, and again even if they were you don't have to let blood relations hurt you and betray you.

she had choices, she chose to go back to the biomom, she chose to listen to her and chose to distance herself from step mom, she chose to invade her privacy, chose to look up the porn, chose to listen to the bio mom, chose to expose her in such a way, continued to instigate. By doing this she stopped by HER daughter and the distance was already showing, the hurt was happening this was just the final straw

Why TF are they acting like the girl was like 11 throughout this whole video?

Step daughter may have been manipulated, but she was 18. She was an adult and should have known better. OP is not an asshole for saying she doesn't want to be her mother anymore, the daughter and the bio mother are the assholes in this story.

She's 18, old enough to know better. And the inlaws spreading it around? No bueno. You keep that shit in the family, not spread it around. It's not illegal or hurting anyone, so we'd deal with it 'in house'. I have the same policy at work: anyone who fucks up is not thrown under the bus, we fix the mistake as a team, and call out excellence individually.

I'm not sure why we're trying to "both sides" the stepdaughter calling her stepmom that. It doesn't matter if she was 'manipulated,' she's a rancid human being for outing that mess - and that relationship will never get to recover now.

Edit: Unless more info comes out later in the video, of course.

27 minutes in, and I'm convinced this is ragebait. Perhaps a delayed April Fools' video?

Finished the video, and it feels more like another lesson in "read everything before trying to come to conclusions." This is a messy story, start to finish, and I'm not sure we can believe ANYTHING this person wrote, now. That said - I still believe it was entirely wrong for the stepdaughter to go snooping for information, for the biological mother to threaten physical violence, and for the family to behave as they have. Finally: stop babying 18 year olds. This is how we get these absolute creatures we see in all the bodycam videos that don't know how to conduct themselves in public or in real life.

I think the sympathy was blinding a little bit. The girl isn't a kid, she's 18 at the least. She knew what she was doing, regardless of what she thought the context was, she effectively ruined this woman's life, and she knew well that's what it would do.

So looking at the posts here's a timeline based on years and stated time:

2007  - Ella is born

2010 - OP makes her first film

2010 - 2015 - Bio mom and Dad break up, Begin co-parenting and Bio mom gets new boyfriend

2016 - OP and Dad start officially dating

2018 - Bio mom goes no contact, OP and Dad get engaged, OP finally gets introduced to Ella

2019 - OP gets married

2024 - Bio Mom is back

2025 - Ella learns about OP past

2026 - Ella exposes OP

N.B. Again this is all based off the times stated by OP. Hope this helps with anyone trying to keep track of the times

Raised a girl from 11 to 18, I dunno, guys. Those are the most formative years for most children and the first woman was there for that

18 year olds are still "young" but they're not stupid. My daughter did that to my wife she'd catch hands.

I’m sorry this is just terrible take the bio mom came back in to the daughters life when she was 17 and now she’s 18. Where’s the multi year manipulation you’re talking about? On top of that I’m pretty sure the sharing of that video to the family probably falls under revenge pron laws, manipulated or not the stepdaughter was in the wrong and if she’s so easily manipulated why tf would any sane adult want to associate with her or claim her as her daughter. On top of all of that the fact the biomom did pretty much nothing to try to get custody or visitation to her daughter for 6 years but you claim the father is in the wrong is just hilariously narrow minded.

I honestly don't think the stepmom's an asshole for saying that, especially after she's been trying to keep being the child's mom despite her slowly shutting her out. I don't blame the kid either, they were clearly manipulated by the actual mother. The ones I have an issue is with is the father (to a lesser degree), whom should've noticed signs that the actual mother was intentionally causing friction with his daughter and current wife. And most importantly that manipulative pos actual mother whom was using their daughter as a chesspiece to ruin her ex-husband and spouses lives- also damaging her own child.

When Pom mentioned this in stream I hadn’t watched it yet and I agreed that 18 isn’t really an adult or at least an adult needing training wheels still. But the fact she just yelled it in the middle of a family gathering she is definitely old enough to know better. Thats something you should know by the time you’re 13-14.

Manipulation or not, she's old enough to understand consequences
