Josh Lawson was born a drug baby to an addicted mother and raised by his grandparents. The troubled path that followed led him into crime at a young age — in and out of jail and prison as a teenager committing armed robbery dealing drugs and selling guns before eventually joining a white supremacist gang while in state prison.
In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, Josh opens up about life inside the reality of prison gangs and the mindset it takes to survive behind bars. During his final sentence in a federal medium security prison he made the decision to walk away from gang life completely and change his future — offering one of the most honest and most raw accounts of what it actually takes to break the cycle and rebuild after years behind bars.
