Today's reaction is a bit of a mystery...

There was no name attached to the PayPal request, but whoever sent it in... thank you!

We're checking out Motörhead performing Ace of Spades live at Wacken 2006, and what a performance this is.

From the very first note, it's pure adrenaline.
There's no overthinking.
No slowing down.
No letting up.

This is exactly how a song like Ace of Spades should be played.

Mikkey Dee is phenomenal.

His power, consistency and relentless tempo drive the entire performance, while Lemmy and the band deliver exactly the kind of intensity you'd hope for from one of rock's most iconic songs.

I actually got goosebumps watching this.
Sometimes great drumming isn't about complexity.
It's about conviction.
And this performance has it in abundance.

Quite simply one of the most impressive drumming vids I’ve ever seen.

Mind blowing 🤯

Playing ‘easy’ songs vs world class execution. Here it is.

They were Motorhead, they played Rock & Roll. Cheers, lads. Got me through some rough times.

Mickey is a machine. And Lemmy and Phil are much missed. Legends all.

I knew Lemmy on a social basis for a few years in the mid 2000's. I'd see him almost every weekend at The Rainbow when they weren't on tour. You cross paths enough and faces become familiar. I knew his and he got to know mine. He was the nicest fukkin guy and a badass. Having the honor of rubbing elbows with him on occasion was one of the highlights of my life. I also had the honor of attending his memorial. Definitely not in happy occasion but being able to honor him is something I'll never forget. Keep Motorhead alive 🤘♠️🤘

I had a friend over helping with some house repairs. I put on a Best of Motorhead CD. My friend is a drummer and he described Motorhead as "a high energy band". I said "that they are". In an interview with Lemmy, someone said "I've never seen anyone play bass like you". Lemmy replied, "Why would they".

Mikkey Dee one of my favorites, right up there with Bill Ward. He was great with King Diamond too.

Motörhead used to play REALLY loud live. That’s a huge part of Lemmy’s tone. Overdrive!!!

If you want Mikkey’s most famous/iconic intro, check out “Welcome Home” by King Diamond.

With Philthy Motorhead was unruly and wild, with Dee they where like a tank! And I love both!

Lemme plays his Rickenbacker through cranked up Marshall heads, bass at 2, mids and treble 10, going through Marshall 4x12 cabs. You’re hearing the gain of screaming Marshall tubes being pushed to their absolute limit.
