A small detail I really like is how Ego's face is visibly fuller by the end of the movie. He only swallows the food he likes, so since he has been fed Remy's food, he ate every single dish.

16:03 that's one of the best jokes in the movie for me 😂 Linguini's soup was so bad that it made a creature WITHOUT A GAG REFLEX gag 😂

That store with rats on display is a real store in Paris.

There actually is a exterminator in Paris that has taxidermy rats hanging in the window. It has been around since the 1800s 😂

Honestly I never understood the "stealing is bad" arc of the movie. He's a rat. Are you expecting him to come up with agriculture???

French Fries aren't from France btw, they're from Belgium. Americans just called it French Fries cuz they speak french in Belgium

Fun fact: the actor who plays Linguini is the same actor who plays the teacher that Dash pranks in the Incredibles!

Linguini is kind of like if both the Challengers guys had a kid

nick’s thumbnail having the beard and current nick never having one kills me

35:20 considering the insane amount of times ive watched this movie i feel so blind now bc I NEVER NOTICED SHE ACTUALLY LOOKED DOWN LMFAO

Nick: “Hi my name is macaroni baloney” 😂😂
Me: Nice to meet you. I’m spaghetti bolognese

Love this movie, glad you guys did too! And fun fact, angry blonde German chef is voiced by Will Arnett with an improvised German accent. They just told him to do whatever, as long as it sounded kinda German 😆

The rat store does exist in Paris, this exact one, it's Aurouze : 8 Rue des Halles, 75001 Paris

7:28 for the sad anecdote, Chef Gusteau is based on the French chef Bernard Loiseau ... who committed suicide after losing a star from his restaurant 😐

16:17 That wasn't oil, it was stock/broth 😂 Remy also poured cream (higher-fat milk) into the soup. According to the ingredients he added, he's turning it into a French cream-based potato and leek soup.

"Do rats speak English in France?" is honestly a question worth exploring

Banger after banger, every movie! First time I watched this when I was maybe 6 years old I literally had a crush on the rat💀💀

What Ego is experiencing here 53:26 really touches me because I experience the same thing with a few different foods. I remember when I was a kid and we came back from the dentist in the cold and you had to not eat anything solid for a few hours, my mother made me chicken soup, and every time I ate chicken soup I felt warm and safe...

I knew he would like colette 😂
