I'm 63, and have decided it's time to scare off the great intellectual ghost of my past - a total inability to do maths.
This series of lessons has , fifty years after I first encountered quadratic equations, finally made sense of them!
My problem is that my mind will not accept ideas as wrote, I have to understand the logic of something otherwise it builds into a brick wall. Thank you so much for dismantling this brick wall, I can now progress to the next one...

Super beneficial

Having an x^2 term does not make the function a parabola.  Here's a counter example:  the equation of a circle has an x^2 term, but it doesn't represent a parabola.  But this is just a minor slip by an excellent teacher.
