Nellie Bly is a journalist whose biography reads like the script for several movies.

She pretended to be a patient in a mental hospital to investigate, staged her own arrest, exposed fraudsters, investigated rumors of baby trafficking, and at 25, set off on a round-the-world trip to break a record from a Jules Verne novel.

In this video, we'll explore:
⚡️ How Nellie Bly became a journalist with virtually no education
⚡️ Why she voluntarily committed herself to a mental hospital
⚡️ How her most dangerous journalistic investigations unfolded
⚡️ How she traveled the world in just 72 days
⚡️ Why, after achieving worldwide fame, her life took several more unexpected turns

The story of Nellie Bly is a story of investigative journalism, the struggle for a woman's place in the profession, incredible courage, and a constant desire to go where others dared not.

And the most amazing thing is that her circumnavigation was far from the last incredible episode in her life. After journalism, she managed a large manufacturing company and later became a war correspondent.
