Legends are used too freely these days but, oh my word Johnny F***** Marr is just that.  What a treat to watch this interview, and a long one at that to give him the freedom to express the love and stories that go with his life, guitars and future endeavours. It's a blessing to have this legend still performing, engaging in interviews and seeing him at The Etihad now and again. Thank you Chris and team !

Johnny has such a good spirit

Gibson should have done a signature model of that 355 for johnny by now hes such a legend and that guitar and thr story behind it is iconic

Its impossible not too  fall in love with Johnny marr...  what a human being

What a fine fine Gentleman Johnny is. Respect

What a lovely fella Johnny is 👍

They won’t all end up in vaults.  I was at a garden party where I was due to play and a guy turned up with a Strat he’d bought at the Jeff Beck audition and asked if I’d play it for him.  So I did.  Found out after it was £82,000.  He didn’t play himself but bought guitars because he loved them, loved the connections and loved giving others the chance to play them.

Thank you for this interview and what an inspiration Johnny Marr is!! So humble and genuine! Thank you again!!

Chris is in awe 😎

I broke my ban on ever watching anything with Evans in it to watch this. Worth it though. Marr - always a fascinating guest. Hope he raises loads of dosh. Christies have put on a good show and highly recommend a visit for guitar fans.

Such a lovely interview.

He's such a lovely guy. His audiobook is great, as he narrates it. Set the boy free....I listened to Morrissey's straight after. A real insight.

28:11 part of why Half a Person is my favorite Smiths track.

Chris I’m a drummer, loved Roger’s interview and Johnny’s interview is so good, Johnny is so honest, I might prefer Tama Drums, another DW YAMAHA etc etc, it’s all down the individual ear which Johnny is fantastic at, love this show buddy as a massive music fan

Pretty cool stuff people.

Johnny's guitars are way out of many people's price range but you know one of them Will probably be put on display in some 3 million pound beach house in North Carolina or Hollywood mansion. His 1982 330 Rickenbacker jetglo is estimated to be £60,000 to £80,000.

None of these guitars are going to be bought by everyday Joe  and  played , they will be put behind glass . Love you still though Johnny 👍

I mean surely, you would keep the ES355. That’s an heirloom piece if there ever was one.

I can't believe he's letting go of the Rick and the “Seymour Stein” 355.

I took a look at the Christies website to see how much the guitars are going for Many of them, especially ones you would be familiar with from videos, or if you know their history, are way out my leaugue, pricewise But there are a few in the collection that are somewhat attainable, That's IF they go for what the projections say. These rockstar guitars often wind up going for much more, because of collectors with lots of $$$. I would LOVE to have and play one of his classic Rickenbackers or Jaguars!!
