You are the best and original mr Fujifilm and I believe Fujifilm should name a camera after you as you have from day one proved that Fuji cameras can be used professionally!

if Fuji ever releases x-pro4, it would HAVE TO have a brass edition... Every material, every finish eventually tarnishes. But my cameras tarnish into aluminium, which just looks 'beaten up'. But if a paint wears off, showing brass...that's 'patina'  :)

The X-Pro 1 and this signature edition is a pure gem ! Such a gem Fujifilm is not offering any service anymore on this camera. That's such a shame ... I would love to bring back five of my X-Pro1s to life and finally personalize some of those ! Love your edition !

I've never heard anyone say what you did about skin on an original Xtrans camera. Infact it's reason i hated the second version of the Xtrans. So, i have to disagree because it's the number one reason i kept the X-E1 after trying any of the Xtrans ii cameras. In my opinion. This was fuji's best sensor.

Listening to you talk about the special edition experience and the box it came in, I hope people realize now why Leica Cameras are loved so much by their owners. Unboxing my Q was a pure ASMR moment 😂

Thanks for the video.

I still use X-Pro1 and X-Pro2 cameras for professional work. They still produce high quality images.

I still use an X-Pro1. 28mm with optical finder and back button focus, offers such a different experience from my other cameras.

Some of your best images were with the XP1, one of the reasons I started following you way back. It’s a glorious tool but doesn’t suit everyone. Still got mine along with a few other gems like the X70 although I’m gravitating to Olympus MFT (older models) as the IQ is fantastic in a smaller inexpensive form factor that suits me better. Great work as ever Kevin and thank you for revisiting this banger.

I have a signature X burnt orange on my XPro1.

Great stuff as ever Kevin, love it when the all too rare vids drop in from you. Not complaining as i know how busy life gets.Thank you for them.

Excelente !

Great Review Kevin, you inspired me to shoot the Fuji X system, I ditched my 5D3. Still using my X-Pro1 in Blk & Wht with the 56/1.2 & my X-E2s with the 35/1.4. for short Holidays it's the X70 & the X100F

Kevin great to spend time with you again!

I love you B/W shots and that is why I am a long time subscriber.
Keep up the great work

You are crushing it, Kevin. Fuji should make you an honorary ambassador again asap.

I miss my Xpro1 and original X100. While I like the performance and output of my X-T5 and X100 veee eye, I feel like there was just something more fun and rewarding about using the older gear.

I absolutely adored this camera and still have one but surprisingly I didn't have the aame experience, no waxy skin effect and I actually got better results at 6400 ISO back then with my X-Pro1 than I do now with my X-Pro3 or X100VI.

Apart from the slow autofocus, this was arguably Fuji's best sensor in my opinion and as close as it gets to film in the digital world. Maybe it's a matter of software? Adobe just didn't know how to handle Fuji files at the time.

Anyway thanks for your video, the X-Pro1 is a treasured memory and you made my day. Cheers

Thanks Kevin. Indeed I think the X-T3 is making me a better shooter since I work with more constraints overall vs. larger sensors. I’ve gotten some razor sharp shots at ISO 12,800, I’ve also shot in a poorly lit log cabin at the same iso and at F/1.2 and come home with wax photos with little to no detail left in them (acceptable as smaller prints only). I’ve learned to position myself or the subjects differently, and have gotten far better with flash. Im “seeing the light” better, these days, if you will.  I’d like to see Fuji cameras  improve their ISO performance further, for sure, but I’ve also learned that when the light is just too weak, you’ve got to learn how to add some (if you want to retain top quality results anyway).

Loved this Kevin, followed you for years and still have 2 xpro1’s that I use, purchased after seeing your remarkable results from using them in the field so to speak! Glad to see the old girls getting some love still! All the best, Max.👍🇬🇧🇦🇺🙏

Hi Kevin, I really like X pro 1, would you recommend also any other fuji suggestions plz, similar to xpro 1
