In todays video we are back going over Season 2 of the analog horror series Vita Carnis. In todays video we learn about a CARCAS researcher that wants to get more research on Mimics. He has an idea to lure a mimic into a house so he can track its movements and habits, but what he ends up luring into the house is far more terrifying than a normal mimic. Will this researcher survive? Or will he become just another victim in this Vita Carnis world.

People forget that all Carnis can detect and read radio waves. The second that baby monitor came on the elder mimic felt it and knew exactly where its prey was hiding, hence why it stopped searching the house. He doomed himself with the flick of a switch. Had he not turned it on or had left it on the whole time he mightve had a chance

To be fair, to the mimic's credit, they are smart enough to wear clothing, and the other kind of mimic evolution allows them to seemingly blend in with people. Remember that an elder mimic evolves from a mimic if it has an abundance of food. If a mimic with a decent amount of food is smart enough to wear clothing and blend into society, an elder mimic is probably capable of the same level of intelligence, if not more.

The fact that the elder mimic was straight up spawn camping is crazy

“Lets do this” to an elder is crazy work. Respect to farren honestly

I swear I heard as he yells “Let’s do this!” At the mimic, right before he opens fire, I swear the mimic called back in a deep gravelly voice “Let’s do this” or at least “do this.” Anyone else?

Turning on the baby monitor was like shining a powerful flashlight onto someone in a pitch black room, it knew where he was, it knew what to do, and it won. Simple.

EDIT: Politics invaded the reply section, plus someone who replied to themselves? heh?

If it was a normal mimic instead of an elder, the guy’s setup probably would have allowed him to survive. The elder knew every single trick and planned ahead, a normal mimic probably wouldn’t have known how to trick the sensors and whatever

Am confused cause don’t the mimics leave after an hour or 2 cause on the tape on how to fend for yourself it said hide cause they won’t waste they’re time and move on to something else

@cam_bode_dian 1 year ago

Since the elder’s teeth are located in their throats, it means that the victim recording was actually being forced into it’s throat, and that the sounds followed by the guy’s scream are his bones being dislocated and broken.

The idea of a monster trapping you inside a room, waiting by the door, and making no noise to try and trick you to think that their gone, even though they could bust down the door and kill you any second is a terrifying concept that isn’t done enough in horror, though I suppose that’s what makes it so special when it IS used

I’m scared of my closet now the fact the mimic waited for him to emotionally break down and mentally want death while spawn camping is crazy

Honestly what I think is ironically funny is that he probably survived that long because he said people were going to arrive on day 20. It looks like it could understand him and it probably understood that.
It probably thought it could take a rescue team on, especially one that wouldn't have known it was an elder mimic, and have a buffet instead of a meal.
The team didn't come, it waited a few extra days and lost its patience and went in for the single kill.

I think the "They sent me here to die" and how they didn't expect Farren to be gone 4 months, is the continuation of the "Hole in the Sieve" part of a previous video. Make sure there isn't a hole in your sieve, or something might get through. The 'Sieve' is C.A.R.C.A.S itself. And the 'Hole' is now either 1 person, or a group of people, who are now loyal to the Singularity and are sabotaging C.A.R.C.A.S from the inside.
