Wife bought me a NASCI 2500 for Xmas 2017. I was amazed at how buttery smooth it was\still is. And the ease of reeling under load. Definitely the best bang for the buck...back then and I'm sure now as well.

Great video as always

Just got mine in the mail yesterday going to line it up and get out there Monday

Really liked the design of this new nasci, reminds me of the old stella which is my favorite design from shimano reels

I have an older Nasci, love it. Just received my new Nasci and I like the color, looks good on my Clarus spinning rod I bought last year.

Saludos desde Chile!!!

👊

That color looks real good on a G. Loomis. But I put a 500 on a 50 year old 5' Fenwick just a couple hours ago, and it looks and feel great there too.

Love my current gen Nasci but this is a must buy!

This reel would match the adrena lol. Good job shimano, higher end rod paired with a budget reel is great!! 😅

Currently seeing the new 2025 Nasci FD, up to 3000 model, for $124.99 pre-order.

Lo ordinato oggi a 125$ in Marocco nasci 4000 xg , non vedo l'ora di provarlo 😅

Obvious note to those complaining about the orange in the spool: it gets almost all hidden by the line. Personally, I love the colour and bought two.

NASCI RODS ? maybe those Roda will be available

I am Glad they added one piece bail. I lost many big fish on the notch of the bail. It would cut the line on the hookset.

It's great to see infinitydrive goes down to a $100 reel now, cant wait to feel the rotation in hand. Personally i feel the bronze and blue colorway is a turndown ... maybe Shimano is running out of color options.

I always had stradics but bought a Nasci last year. Nice reel a tad heavy but strong.

Is there a Curado 150 M in depth and comparison vs the 150 MGL coming?

I wish they would get rid of the hex handle and replace it with a screw in. If they did, the Nasci could very well be the undisputed king of the $100 price point

JP, thank you for another fantastic video.  I have learned a lot from you over the past year about Shimano products.

I have a question for you.  I might be going fishing in Florida (starting in Orlando then probably Tampa for some saltwater fishing and then down south by Coral Springs and then Miami for some saltwater fishing) and I was wondering if you think that the new Nasci FD will do just fine in the saltwater from the shore in the Gulf and Atlantic?  I have an Ultregra FD (which you helped convince me to buy, thanks again) but I have a hard time willing to potentially use it in the saltwater because I am a novice for saltwater fishing (from Illinois) and I would hate to lose my Ultegra.  If you believe that the Ultegra will be better for the saltwater because of the X-Protect vs Coreprotect by a landslide and I shouldn't even bother with the Nasci for saltwater I will accept, but I just wanted to hear what you thought.
Long comment, I apologize.  Thank you again
