It's just a kind reminder, all the skills Wukong uses can be found in the novel Journey to the West, immobilization, transformation, multi-form, and even the stick that can grow bigger or smaller. So it's not copying any games, instead, some games and cartoons were inspired by that novel.

Sheesh Dragon Ball had ALOT of inspiration from this story. Akira Toriyama wasn't kidding that he was inspired from the Myth Story. Well done and RIP, Akira.

Oh my, this game is too beautiful. Truly Game Of The Year material.

Wow Brotherhood between monkey and bull broke my heart 🙁

through the heavens and the earths wukong alone is the honored one

There are also hidden cutscenes like Wukong fighting against Erlang Shen and Four Heaven Kings also Wukong fighting against the Buddha

3:03:15 only the real ones who watched the famous series when they were young know this iconic song.

This is pure aesthetic feast to a non-PRG game player. I'm really amazed by these cutscenes.

I’m not a gamer but I have been watching the Black Myth Wukong related videos non stop for a few days. I appreciate this video because it showed me some characters and details I missed. ❤

Unparalleled magnificence and beauty, the culture and music of oriental aesthetics are also fascinating.

3:03:15 music, the nostalgia hit so hard. I watch this show like 5 times as a kid.

3:03:18 that song....so epic and familiar, still hit me hard since i was a kid

i'm so happy that Zhu Bajie is so small cute but so rude

2:47:14  Bajie did not say this for no reason. In fact, it was what Wukong said to Bajie on the way to the West. Therefore, Bajie was missing Wukong.

Impressive. Never have I delved into Wukong lore, so this is a fun way to start.

西游记伴随了我的整个童年，现在能把他做成游戏，让自己成为主角。圆了自己一个美猴王的梦❤

The dude wakes up from his dream and kills the fox is extremely accurate, especially in China.
There are mutiple cases some guy just wakes up and leads a rebellion just because he sees himself as a king in the dream.

The Violet Spider part was my favourite, because what she said was true.

No matter how long the years go on, in Bajie's heart, the Monkey always comes first.

Western audience might view these monsters or figures as some mere random amalgamations with  asian traits, aka just dude punching stabbing grotesque oversized monsters over n over etc..thus the accusation of darksoul/GoW rippoffs. But for those who grew up with Wukong from journey to the west adaptations,  these are in facts very loyal interpretations of actual characters from the novel, as well as taoist/budhist pantheons, along with familiar details of their back stories. Like that yellow eyebrow dude also faking being a Buddha canonically.
