The National Hurricane Center (NHC) maintains a 90% (extreme probability) of the formation of the next tropical cyclone in the Pacific Ocean, and the most recent runs of the main global weather models have sounded the alarm: they project a direct hit by a HURRICANE on Mexican territory this weekend (Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11).

If it reaches tropical storm and hurricane strength, the system will be officially named SIMON.
