It's a big kind of sad, eating Donuts alone on my brand new chair and looking at anvils.

If you click "display only axis aligned" in the image properties, the reference images will only show up when you hit the numpad keys. It's so nice to not have them in the way when you're just looking around the model (they're essentially worse than useless anyway since nothing lines up outside of the direct side, front or top views), but pop up when you need them.

Also when your reference has both a front and a back elevation, you can choose which side it shows up from. Which is super handy

I am a furniture designer currently migrating from CAD into Blender and this is exactly what i needed! I am forever grateful for this and the chair, please go on with these product series and the archviz tutorials. Thanks again!

Andrew's tutorials are so refreshingly good compared to all the other stuff that try to model things you don't need or try to model a most complicated scene in 60 seconds or tell us for the hundredth time to become a patreon and click the bell icon and so on. This here is how tutorials should be. Thanks a lot!

I am not a beginner, i have been working in the industry for 20 yrs now. One thing i like to do is to relax and follow tutorials like you know nothing. It is almost like trying to be a noob. The good thing about that it will bring you down to the earth and you will learn a lot of a things. So for this i restarted to work on this with the new blender 4, and guess what the new snap features came in handy a lot. Anyways Guru, thanks for these tutorials you put out into the world which is helping a lot of people including me improve their knowledge and workflow. For newbies how to use the snap feature is for eg if you need to move and you press g and then press the alphabet relative to the axis you want to move, if it is x axis press x on your keyboard. Now press B and you will be able to select either a corner or vertex point or and edge and then move that to snap it to another object vertex or edge.
