This was one of the saddest moments I've witnessed in the series. Dhurke was a real Chad here.

How ironic is it that dkurke was accused of killing Inga when in reality it was the other way around

Literally devastating. Ruined my entire day. I was truly sobbing. I rarely replay SOJ because of this - my first time playing was too soon after my own father’s death.

That being said, rewatching this now, I think the moment it really starts to hurt is when Ema is on the stand and her sprite changes as she somberly gives the update. Woof.

Poor Apollo he has gone through so much...

Have you noticed that Apollo tries to not give in to despair the hardest?
Nick frequently had his "holding head in despair" when things looked grim, Athena literally BSOD, but Apollo needed A LOT to reach this point.

This scene killed me… my hands were shaking…

SOJ and the rest of the 3DS Ace Attorney games didn't do anything for me. This case alone carried the whole SOJ, just like how the final case of DD carried DD. I didn't care about Dhurke throughout the game, thought he was about to be just the big bad of the game, and then he introduced himself out of nowhere at the beginning of this case, and having to defend him from the one-off politician bad guy didn't help his odds. But this scene alone was perfect! Now I wish we had gotten more time with him before in the game. I actually was tearing up when I found out Dhurke died.

This was a fantastic and original idea, having to defend someone who was already dead. Finally, a 3DS game reaches the feeling of the OG trilogy.

I remember when I played this the first time and they revealed there was a second body…

And then I remembered the mention of Dhurke’s blood stains on the floor before they even mentioned it. And I realized what happened…

The tears just wouldn’t stop from there. Poor Apollo. :(

I actually have to give credit to Inga for being smart enough to shoot immediately lol. The revolutionaries all escape the government with minimal effort the whole game. Datz is literally the #2 wanted man walking around with no repercussions.
