The session brought together the Academy participants for a shared introduction to Nature Restoration, ahead of the two-day Nature Restoration Academy.

Across four themes, the session explored how human activities shape our seas, how multi-use approaches can create new business opportunities, and how Marine Protected Areas can be governed, financed and supported through ecosystem-based business strategies. Each topic included a short expert presentation followed by a live Q&A.

The session builds on Course 4 of the Blue Bio Techpreneurs MOOC on FutureLearn, a free, self-paced course covering integrated ocean planning, Marine Protected Areas, multi-use and business pathways.
