I was calling my friend when his dad just appeared, announced “queens dead” and left

ITV really messed up the most important announcement of a career.

At 4:07, it will be one of the last times this anthem will be named “God Save the Queen” until another queen rules over Great Britain someday. 😢 RIP

I love how the character on Channel 4 said, "Hold on," right before the interruption.

I was at home with two of my grandkids and my phone buzzed. My oldest daughter texted me that the Queen had passed. Went into the living room and turned on the news. My 6 yr old grandson wanted to know all about the Queen. We sat and talked about the royal family for quite awhile. His interest was very sweet.

Can't believe it's already been 3 years since her passing

The channel 4 one was so ominous. The channel 4 logo being in the corner, disjointed, the screen black. Terrifying.

ITV had one job. And 50 years to prepare for it.

I remember sitting in the car, watching the rain fall as we pulled out of a junction. I hear a royal -like tune, a man had interrupted the radio
“The queen has died”…

i find it fascinating that you can hear the paper being slipped to them... by "a few moments ago", they mean they found out THAT SECOND

A lot of people love her, a lot of people don’t, but we can agree that her death was extremely impactful when it was announced.

1:39 I can hear the realization manager screaming to her ears "just say It, god damn"

It feels so weird to experience this. She has been Queen since LOOOOOOONG before I was born. I knew she was old but for some reason I never thought that she would pass while I was still in my twenties.
