Fun fact: the monster hunter logo actually features a Rathian not a Rathalos, as Rathian was the first monster ever designed for the series!

I love how this video talks about how the games effected pop culture and merchindise. The other monster hunter restropectives didn't do this. Thank you!

Great doco, I really enjoyed this.
I played World when it came out, but lately, I've been getting real into the series, starting with the PS2 original. Having a ton of fun :)

Edit: Woah, this is your first full-length video? Even more impressive!

I really enjoyed this retrospective. Some cool and unique info other videos dont cover and very well put together. It baffles me how you dont have more views or subscribers. You at least got one more subscriber today.

Better (a year) late than never, I guess. Haven’t finished yet but it’s wonderful and refreshing to see a video like this that’s clearly coming from a place of genuine affection.

There is just no way this video only has 200+ views. Great work! Hopefully this gets some traction at some point.

Dude I'm impressed how they manage to get this maps and use them UNTIL GENERATIONS Ultimate (2016) almost without modifications

Watched this all the way trough in 1 go while sitting at work on a slow day lol.

Great video! Gave me a lot of insights on the older gen games that I didn't know about.

Also that Hunters Bar looks really cool, definitely gotta check it out if I ever get the chance to be in japan =)

Would really love a segment on Wilds though now that its out (or maybe once the expansion comes out). That would tie the video up perfectly.

this slaps!! i was so surprised when i saw this is the first proper video on the channel, its produced so well that i assumed it was from one of those long-running monhun channels like arekkz or gaijin o.O

well when it becomes a long-running channel ill be there to brag about being one of the original 50 subs hehe

Beautiful video. Can't imagine the amount of work that went into this. I just discovered monster hunter with world and have since played a little of almost every older tittle. I'm an older gamer and monster hunter wasn't even part of my gaming infancy so to speak, but there is something so captivating about this franchise. And what's crazy is, no matter how good the games are, I still have the feeling that so much more could be done with the world and ideas of the series if it is managed well by Capcom. Let's hope six is a banger!

As someone who only got into Monster Hunter a few months ago, this helped understand everything so well. I adore your in depth overview of the franchise! Thank you so much for looking at Monster Hunter merch, besides Fangamer it was actually hard to know where to look.

54:32 as a Scotsman it’s painfully obvious lmao

I played the original PS2 Monster Hunter when it released. It was amazing. Epic music, grand locals, cool armor and weapons. But it was hard as hell....until I played online. I missed the PSP versions until I moved to Japan and played MHP3. That game got me back into MH. Since then I've played every game I could get my hands on.
