What if you want a summer vacation… but you don't actually want the heat?

Summer travel doesn't have to mean 30°C temperatures, crowds and searching for shade all day. In this episode of Michelle Plans Travel, I'm looking at some amazing destinations where you can still enjoy summer — just with cooler temperatures, dramatic scenery and a completely different kind of vacation.

🇮🇸 Iceland – waterfalls, glaciers, geothermal pools, black-sand beaches and the famous Golden Circle

🇮🇪 Ireland – spectacular coastlines, castles, countryside, road trips and those long summer evenings

🏴 Scotland – the Highlands, the Islands, dramatic coastlines and plenty of history

🇳🇴 Norway – fjords, cruising, Oslo, Bergen, and the midnight sun

And even some destinations you don't need to leave Canada for!

🇨🇦 Vancouver Island – beautiful coastlines, wildlife, Victoria, Tofino and the Pacific Northwest vibe

🇨🇦 Newfoundland & Labrador – rugged scenery, icebergs, wildlife, charming towns and some seriously unforgettable landscapes

🇨🇦 The Maritimes – Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, with coastal drives, seafood, beaches, charming towns and the Bay of Fundy

I'll also look at typical summer temperatures, how long it takes to get there from Toronto, what you can see and do, and who each destination might be best suited for.

So if you're someone who loves summer but could happily do without the heat, this one is for you!

And if you'd rather skip summer altogether, check out Part 2 of this series, where I look at destinations in the Southern Hemisphere where it's actually WINTER while we're having summer.
