I wish there was more abyss gears, I feel like orbs and crows are the only ones that actually add a “magic” effect

9:58 We do value that opinion. Thats why IGN is getting bashed left and right non-stop. They bring nothing to the table in comparison to what you and people like you can. We naturally flow to youtubers with the same tastes, and with millions of you out there theres bound to be some that love the same games you love. Out of the few official IGN reviewers, how many of them do you think have the same tastes in games?

One of the main pros for twohanded is that you can use your onehanded weapon slots for passive buffs. I use a Sturdy Tree Branch for +3 Movement Speed as my onehanded weapon. I combine it with the North Wind Shield with two Fortification III abyss gears. On top the Reinforcement bonus never wears off when you don't use the shield in combat, so you have 31+9+9+5 = +54 defense from your shield passively on a twohanded build.

Spear would like a word

You forgot to mention the biggest disadvantage to dual wielding. In many boss cutscenes, the 'cinematic' will often end up defaulting to use another shield than the one you dyed and made sure to match the rest of your outfit.

Im almost at 200hrs and hit chapter 9. I love this game. I start out doing one thing and 3 hours later I'm on top of a mountain taking in the view of the world. Then I think, oh ya I was going to do that thing.... Game of the Year!

Honestly, investing in and practicing in every build is worth it.
Most of the builds do better in their own specific situations, but honestly every build can beat every situation if you have enough practice behind it. Swapping around is fun too.

I tend to sword and board groups more frequently, and two hander on bosses most often.

I’ve got 200 hours in and just now am finding out my dual wield swords are in fact not OP

Props for using the Diablo 2 Tristan soundtrack, one of my favorite chill songs.

I am finding it hard to stay off sword and board.  The shield may offer its bonuses passively to 2 handed, but actively being able to block everything, and disarm most things while still doing hella good damage is such a massive utility boost (especially against flying and ranged enemies) that its hard to pass up.  Glad to see it holds up and does well.

Enjoyed the Diablo music on the day the expansion released. Nice touch. :)

Total Annihilation music at the start slaps so hard and D2 music, the guy has taste!

I love the fact that any build can be made viable by the players abilities and comfort with the style. It makes it so no one play style is so OP that everyone plays it. Admittedly, the bow is pretty good and I love mine.
I have taken a situational approach to this game. For large crowds(like clearouts and takeovers) I use the explosive bow at first to decimate the front liners and as they come in, I switch to a two-hander(DarkBringer) with Crow's Pursuit and crit gears. After I thin them out, I switch to a sword and board(Fated Shadow) to finish the stragglers off. I really like not having to play one way "cause it's the best" and just have fun. Of course bosses need special treatment so I adjust accordingly. Thank you Ermz for letting us know about your testing and thanks to Pearl Abyss for creating such a great world to play in! Liked and subbed 👍👍👍

The spear is honestly insane..
Get good enough with it and you're spinning around bosses like Monster Hunter. 🍻

9:35 subscribed this video was very well put together. Your content was clear, your edits were smooth, I really hope you hit your goals.

Really want to see a sword and board build.

I don't usually subscribe but because of your heartfelt message, I did! Thank you and continue on the great work!

Looked for videos to give myself opinions whether or not Crimson Desert is worth buying. Stayed and subscribed because of the Total Annihilation music. You're the GOAT, my man.
