I Met Haiti's Most Wanted Gang Leader!🇭🇹- Barbecue

Timmy Karter

I travel deep into the heart of Haiti to meet Jimmy Chérizier, known as Barbecue, the country’s most wanted man. Once a police officer, Barbecue is now the leader of one of Haiti’s most powerful gangs. Some see him as a Robin Hood-like figure fighting for the poor, while others hold him responsible for kidnappings, violence, and the tragic La Saline massacre.

As the first-ever YouTube creator to get a sit-down interview with Barbecue, I bring you a one-of-a-kind, unfiltered look at his perspective on Haiti’s struggles. We explore his rise to power, his thoughts on the corruption plaguing the country, and the allegations against him.

This video is probably the biggest achievement any travel youtuber has ever accomplished. Well done Timmy! Incredible stuff.

You can't say you aren't a journalist anymore you just did more journalism in this video than the whole US press system has done in ten years. Nicely done my friend.

This guy is not a YouTuber. He is an actual, real journalist who puts to shame most so-called bona fide journalists in the mainstream media. He is a GOAT

"I'd prefer clean water for all then champagne for a few" what a beautiful quote.

Everything Barbeque says in this video, he is not asking for anything unreasonable. Not things for himself, but better life for his people

Best video on Haiti. No click bait. Just a straight interview with bbq and explaining some history. Good stuff Timmy!

I am from India, watching a guy from greece interving someone from Haiti.
God bless Internet

This is insane. That man is notorious and most YTers just go to Haiti and talk about the gangs but never to them. You went straight to the most powerful person in Haiti.

From clickbait youtuber to real document maker....

Insane progress Timmy! I'm really proud of the progress you've made as content creator.

I truly hope this doesn´t get taken down, you know the countries that control the media don't like them getting exposed so easily. Much respect for taking the risk to hear the other version and not what media portrays.

I was really not expecting the interview to go the way it did. One of the most eye-opening videos I've ever watched that really puts the world (and Haiti specifically) in a completely different perspective.

For those who dont know, the Dominican Republic's president is also a Lebanese man. His grandparents arrived as refugees with foreign money buying their father a good lifestyle most Dominicans can't afford. He also started a University. He couldn't be President , by law requirements (to be a Dominican), so he settled for Senator & had his wife (Lebanese) birth their child on the Dominican Republic soil but then took him back home to get his culturing in the early stages. The President also married a Lebanese woman (Raquel Arbaje Soni; Arbaje is of Lebanese origin. Common to those refugees that moved to DR) , not a Dominican woman. All this is per The Lebansese times (media site), as his home town in Lebanon celebrated his winning of Presidency over the Domincans.......... And his family have secured the resources of the other half ot the Hispanola Isla for the Lebanese bloodlines. I hope the guy has enough empathy for Dominicans to help the people but.................. we'll see.

Didn't knew barbeque was chill like that

I’m sure BBQ is not completely on the up and up but to be a police officer protecting the rich and powerful to realizing you’re protecting the very people who keep the population in poverty, and switching sides to fight for the people instead of the rich, if true, is very noble
