EEEEP THANK YOU ALL FOR THE LOVE ON THESE COMMENTARY VIDS <3 <3 i got a few comments asking about my shirt! it's from one of my fav artists @favorite.vegetable https://www.instagram.com/favorite.vegetable/ 🙂‍↕

I’m begging Nintendo not to make the next game only decoration focused, I really want the social/life simulator aspect of the game back and improved, given the power of the switch 2. please Nintendo don’t f this up.😭

They could include species specific dialogue, so that a jock horse has some different dialogue compared to a jock cat.

I personally really miss being able to upgrade Nook's Cranny past like two levels. In New Leaf, it had so many upgrades. It was a supermarket, it was an EMPORIUM. I was so disappointed that there wasn't any more upgrades for me to work towards for the shop so I had better access to furniture and all that

Heavy on the tool durability. What’s the point of having the gold tools and they still break 😭  New Leaf was my first animal crossing game and I still visit my island. I love the mini games

There should be more non villager npcs who serve as universal friend characters that can have stories and stuff. They don’t need to all run a shop.

a thing i dont like about both the decorating aspect and the lifeless villagers situation is that. you decorate the island but the villagers dont interact with your decor. like, no villager will ever bathe in the pool, or eat the soup you're placing. each villager has fave decorating style, while are they not interacting if i place their favourite furniture piece? also did you know that in new leaf villagers had DISLIKES? they would roast you if you gave them things they hated

My biggest beef is that there are no sound settings.
This game has such beautiful sound designs, yet they are generally overpowered by the music.
What a waste!

I want: 1) Hanging bridges. Let me put a bridge form cliff to cliff. 2) More slots (sorry I need more). 3) Repetitive dialogue boxes (no just for villagers). I don't wanna see the same pun after fishing the same F'ING fish three times in a row.  4) More stores / buildings... maybe a hot take but it will be so fun to be able to move the caravans to the main island. Help them upgrade them to a real store. That can be a late game kinda thing. 5) More types of "quests".

This is where I think you can tie it all together. Maybe to have Saharah accept to move in into the main island she requestes that you proof that 5 villagers will buy from her, and so you have to go and convice the villagers through dialogue optios (If you've ever played My Sims Kingdom / My Sims Agents, you know what I mean). It might be simple but it is also fun. Add more type of quests, more to do late game, more personality to the villagers...

More interactivity with the decorations. Like actually be able to use some of them.

I miss that premium quality feel of Nookingtons.

My main problem with the seasonal updates is that instead of bringing major changes/additions to the game, a lot of the time it felt like they were just bringing back old features that should have been in the game from 1.0 (The Roost, paintings/sculptures, dream addresses, diving, watered down versions of New Leaf's holidays, etc). It felt less like they were trying to add new things, more like an apology and an attempt to make up for what was missing on launch. That, plus I wish the Happy Home Paradise DLC had a "Tricky Client" mode where you had to design their vacation home with a set of restrictions like "Must use X items that are their favorite color", "Cost of all furniture cannot exceed the client's bell budget", "Must reach a minimum HHA score of X", and more. While free decorating is nice and should be the main option for that mode, I want an optional "hard mode" that restricts what we can design, making the gameplay more engaging and the finished product have the sentimental value of "Yeah, I did that! I followed the rules and still made it look amazing!".

Animal crossing needs to focus more on gameplay like New Leaf.

i have a list:
1. being able to control how each building looks like(not just the houses)
2. co op mode like stardew
3. more villager numbers, and better personalities(learn from pokopia on this nintendo! make them interesting. also if parents don't want to be "bullied" by the villagers than turn it off)
4. more villagers that are the same species as npcs(like other alpacas, porcupines, giraffes, etc)
5. npc houses
6. more Celeste(my queen needs more)
7. bring back all the cut stuff(villagers, buildings, fruit)
8. i think from the beginning they should just import everything from new horizons and use it as a base plate and build off of it besides like the location
9. i think the location should be like a seaside town(like idk for example beach city from steven universe or pelican town from stardew)
10. i think our character needs to be hired for our town for a reason(like either mayor again or like urban designers)(or maybe after we finish paying off our debt we can run for mayor against Tortemir)

speaking of the online functionality stuff: WHY is collecting all fruits locked behind online play or local co-op? why shouldn't solo players get to enjoy having all the fruits??? there should've been a fruit vendor on Harv's island or something so everyone can have easy access to all of them.
also I really hope we get some furniture interactivity like they had in Pocket Camp. decorating the island would feel so much more rewarding if you get to see your villagers actually enjoying your hard work lol.

I think able sisters should have upgrades! More floors/space etc. Could make it a lot more interactive than just stepping into a changing booth and seeing everything

They should have never taken the mini games away that’s New Leaf had. My friend and I used to spent hours on the ore hunting game 😭

I agree with almost everything but PLEASE no city or urban animal crossing. Whenever my fantasy or rural relaxation media has an industrial iteration I drop it so fast

I would like less repetitive dialogue while talking to vendors and interacting with devices/crafting benches in general. Oh my God the amount of time it took to turn in the first batch of saved up fossils and bugs to Blathers to get the museum going. I often end up having to go through it twice because I'll be impatiently clicking through the dialogue with the B button and then it auto selects the 'Nah, never mind' option, ending the dialogue.
And yes, no more tools that break

We really need to talk about clutter. I never realized how much I disliked having everything so tightly packed together in Animal Crossing until I played Pokopia and realized how nice it is to be able to walk through things, jump on top of them, and not have to constantly worry about every little object in your way.

I LOVE decorating, and I want to be able to go all out with my island in Animal Crossing without having to worry about 1) lag and 2) all the furniture and decorations restricting my movement.
