I don't want generative AI slop in a game cantered around human creativity

Correction on Tattleatail, the game didn't die or flop.
The creator didn't want it to have multiple sequels and wanted it to be a one and done deal.

On top of this they didn't really want to make merch of the characters either.

That's why we don't see it continuing on, because the creator didn't want it to.

Tattletail slander will not be tolerated

apparently flopping is when you let your game rest instead of making a bunch of tattletail sequels, what are we genuinely on

Tattletail didn't flop.

It just didn't get milked for every penny.

I know imma sound like a nerd saying this but these Minecraft series like verity aren't ARGs they are Unfiction aka spooky Minecraft roleplay or smth like that. The content creators only use the term "ARG" because they can't fathom the idea of doing roleplay on a game so they just slap the ARG word onto their series.

Don't shit on my goat Tattletail, it's was better than most modern indie horror games nowadays.

Verity didn’t destroy Minecraft horror modding, it just made so everyone could see the destruction of it that had already been cooking in slow fire for years

tbh, Verity not being made of basic cubes in the original story is fitting given he's not even supposed to be in Minecraft in the first place

some bullshit about a super AI predating the known internet lore lore lore (i fell asleep halfway watching the final episode)

Verity's ball design was a great decision in original thatmob series, because verity felt like an intruder – it's like there's something parasitic living off your minecraft world. it perfectly worked with the set story of the ARG

AI is not a screenwriter. it doesn't have any sense of dramaturgy and nuance. it just puts a ball of shit in your minecraft world

I feel like the whole idea of him being a friend that later becomes extremely possessive and you can't leave it or get away from. It does have extreme potential as a horror mod. However, I think they could do without the generative AI

they should add obesity as a horror mod

7:50 outside of the ai, one of the main issues with shine 3.0 was that it not only used ai without disclosure, but it was using a TON of stolen assets, since the creator stole code, assets, and even sounds to an extent, put them into the mod with a few edits, then claimed it all as their own work

So the biggest problem was the last majority of shine 3.0 was stolen

2:15 Got jumpscared by this because I was listening to this in the background while playing Zenless Zone Zero with a Remielle team...True Horror

People will bitch and moan about anything for 10 whole minutes to get ad revenue while sitting on their ass and not achieving anything in their lives.

Horror mods need to stop trying to cause fear, and start causing dread and tension.

As a certain game animation study channel said; “Fear is subjective, while tension is subjective”.

gonna be Honest, Verity isn't even an ARG (Alternate Reality Game) as it isn't even interactable, it's unfiction that is just basically roleplay.

I liked it when horror mods were more of just like a slight change to your world with no structures no extra stuff, just a mob that spices up the experience with stalking, No Random insta kills and jumpscares. Just the feeling of always being watched and always keeping you nervous. Modern horror mods just don’t feel like Minecraft and it makes the entire experience about the mod

This is the new type of "Why minecraft become boring" slop, This video is waste of time

I believe the best Minecraft horror mods are the ones that don't add a scary mob that jumps out and chases you. Instead, they make the environment and the ambiance scary. There is a mod that puts the year old Minecraft 1.0 world under the bedrock of your modern Minecraft world. When you go down there, it is dark and silent with barely any signs of life. The closest thing you get to entities is the fleeting ghosts of other players. They don't chase you or attack you they just either scare or run away. You'd be lucky to catch glimpses of them. You'll see their name tags through walls, but when you try to face them, they disappear. The brilliance of this horror is that it doesn't rely on a monster to scare you. It relies on something deeper. Your own mind. By not having the threat be immediately obvious your mind fills in the blanks of what could be there around you or what could happen to you. You start to get paranoid, wondering when something will happen, but it never does. That tension is never released, and you end up becoming a nervous wreck.
