Welcome back to The Ten Minute Quilter!
It’s time for a little quilting catch-up — and I’ve actually been quite productive!
After a bit of a tidy-up in the sewing room, I’ve managed to get several projects moving, including a quilt made from blocks my lovely friend Jacqui started. Sadly, Jacqui passed away before she could finish it, so it was a real pleasure to quilt the top that she had begun and get it ready to return to her family. A little piece of her work, finished and ready to be enjoyed. ❤️
I also managed to rescue another set of blocks and get those quilted too.
And because finishing quilts apparently means I’m now entitled to start another project, I’ve finally decided to have a go at a quilt I’ve had my eye on for a while — Diamond Star Quilts by Barbara Cline. It’s only 48" x 48", so clearly this is completely sensible… 😂
There’s also another visit to the Cupboard of Doom, where I make a decision about an abandoned Christmas applique project — and then discover another UFO that might be next on the finishing list.
And finally, I need your help!
I have an extensive collection of fat quarters and I'm looking for some relatively simple quilt patterns that will help me use them up.
So tell me in the comments:
What's your favourite way to use up fat quarters?
Perhaps we can set ourselves a little fat-quarter challenge and see what we can make together!
Thanks so much for joining me, and I hope you have a lovely week. ❤️

Hello and welcome to The Ten Minute Quilter — I’m Emma, quilting from the south of England.
This channel is all about quilting progress, not perfection. It’s a space for real life, real quilts, and real chat — whether you’re brand new to quilting or have been stitching for years.
I share ten-minute quilting ideas, honest progress updates, time-saving tips, and gentle encouragement to help you keep going (even when projects stall or life gets busy).
So grab a cuppa, take a well-deserved break, and spend ten minutes quilting with me.
Unfinished quilts always welcome. 💛
