Norm seemed happiest when 90% of the room hated his guts but the other 10% thought he was the funniest mofo in the world- therein lies his greatness!

One of the most well read comedians gaslights The View into thinking he's only read 6 books his entire life.

Norm was a legit genius. Worked really hard at seeming dumb.

The way Norm’s face lights up on The View when they start to squirm😂

King of the "slow burn"...
Rest easy Norm...

Gotta love a comedian that bombs on stage and has the balls to stand at the front door and shakes everybody’s hand as they leave just to make everyone uncomfortable.  Huge balls!

Tons of comedians say there is nobody as funny as Norm MacDonald. I happen to agree. I’ve been a fan since the 80’s. So glad you enjoyed him!

Norm is every comedians favorite comedian.

"Colder than a vampire's demeanour." 🤣

My favorite explanation of his comedy style was that he carried himself like he was trying to make himself laugh first and foremost, and everyone else was an afterthought. If his joke made him laugh, it was a success in his mind. He had complete and total faith in his own sense of humor.

What's ironic about all the oj jokes is that the only reason he kept doing them was because his boss told him to stop. He eventually got fired for it.

"To me, it's the easiet." LOL!!! Seemed to go over Larry's head.

It was well known in the showbiz world, that Norm had an IQ of about 150. Dude had some smarts, but didn't lord it over people like others would have. Instead, Norm played the average Joe. He was the "Columbo" of the comedy world. He intentionally played the simpleton, when really, he was the smartest guy in the room. He just never felt the need to show it. He graduated High school at 13 years old.

My favorite part is how you don’t get 90% of the jokes. Which would actually make you Norms favorite audience.

Oh Norm, Norm, Norm.  You left us far too soon.  RIP.

My favourite Norm bit was when he was on tour with a few comedians, he learned their jokes overtime.

...So one day on tour, he goes on first, says THEIR routines and steps off the stage: to watch his friends flounder and come up with new material on the spot! 😂

There's a story about someone needing audio of a crowd gasping, and someone from SNL said they had the perfect audio recording.  It was from a practice taping of SNL and Norm said Woody Allen is dating again, and a picture popped up of the famous young Vietnamese girl in a war torn street.  The audience audibly gasped. Needless to say, that one didn't make it on the air.

My favorite comedian ever, nobody can do it like Norm, his jokes seem so simple but if anybody else tries them it just bombs.

38:10 “He’s probably the type of comedian that would bomb on purpose” He has LITERALLY said the funniest joke ever, is a comedian who bombs. “Think about it, a guy. . .stands in a room to make people laugh. . .and they don’t laugh! What’s funnier than that!”

My favorite comedian hands down, so happy I got to see him twice before he died. One of the only celebrities I was truly sad about when he died
