Honda CR-V Hybrid Honest Owner Review | 2 Years Later

I give my 2-year review of our 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid . We have the sport touring AWD model, the most expensive CR-V. Why did we buy it, what we love, and what we hate. Why buy this over a Toyota RAV4, Hyundai Tucson, Kia Sportage, Mazda CX-5, Subaru Forester and Nissan Rogue. #honda #cars #familycar

When I was talking about the CR-V versus the competitors, I was referring to what was available in late 2024. Now, in 2026, there may be other choices with similar interior room or fuel economy.

Wife loves her 2026 CRV Touring Hybrid. Had it one year. She's owned 4 brand new CRV's over the years. Zero repairs on any of them. This is her fav model. Getting 39 mpg combined. 44 mpg city. Bought new. Cost her $39,995. MSRP was 44K.

Our crv trailsport 2026 is just so perfectly fine, no noise and it's just perfectly a smooth ride. But you're right, should have been a panoramic roof.

I’m 6’5 (not fat) and I fit fine in my 2025 CRV Hybrid ST.
I love mine so far.
I’ve had many different types of cars and trucks but this car drives the best.
As for driving noise, mine is very quiet yes the engine when pushed on grades does whined up I noticed you were driving it at 100% engine power.

We purchased a 2026 CR-v Hybrid last week and love it! Prior to this we purchased a new, 2018 CR-v (non-hybrid) and loved it! Cheers to excellent vehicles!

I have a 2026 sport touring hybrid. I really like it. Enough power, only wish it had ventilated seats and a spare tire.
I added a Comma device running on Sunnypilot. This device plugs into the driver assist system enabling it to drive hands free on relatively straight roads. I have watched your other channel for years.

Ian, I’ve been watching your other channel for years. I love your reviews, most honest guy out there and you really do provide excellent, non biased information. Thank you.

It’s good to see you back at it. I remember the motor cycle reviews. I’m a crysler Pacifica and jeep wagoneer fan. I know they are not in the same class. What im looking at is interior room and towing. Camping is getting expensive. A vehicle needs to double as a tent or pull a travel trailer. Worst case scenario. Sleeping at rest stops between destinations is better when you can lay flat. It’s better than falling to sleep in the chair!!!!

Great review Ian. We have the 2026 LX-AWD hybrid version here in Aus which has most of the tech added that you missed . Really happy with ours and I must admit the building quality of my Honda Africa Twin did influence our purchase of the CR-V however relevant that may be.

one of the best everyday cars for small family.

Excellent review. You discussed the specific elements and features that we drivers will focus upon.
Thank you.

I have a 2041 CR V Plug in hybrid.
I agree with most of what you said, particularly the engine noise at times.
The thing that I miss from my out car is spotlights. I find the dim poor, so spots are needed. I'm a senior, so maybe it's just my eye sight, but at the price, spots should be included.
Congrats, nice video
Robert .

Thank you for your thorough review.
I still like the CRV but there are issues one has to balance out.

4 bangers in heavy cars will always have noise!

Luckily they have extended warranties now, as both engine variants on the modern CR-V are known to blow head gaskets. I would have bought one otherwise, but went RAV4 Hybrid this time around. Averaging 42mpg so far since March.
