Deep Dhal (Captain Rover) is India’s first creator to complete 100 days of winter camping in Ladakh, Spiti & Zanskar in extreme temperatures up to -25°C.

This expedition was completed in a Mahindra Thar diesel vehicle, where starting the engine daily in freezing temperatures was one of the biggest survival challenges.

Using techniques like diesel heaters, generators, hot water methods, and real field hacks — Deep successfully completed this 100-day winter journey in november , December, January , February

The route covers:
Lahaul & Spiti, Shinku La, Zanskar, Leh, Nyoma, Pangong Lake, Chang La, Rezang La, Hanle, Umling La, Chumathang, Khardung La in snowstorms, Leh–Kargil Highway (Fotu La, Namika La, Lamayuru Moonland), Drass, Kashmir, Jammu, Himachal & Winter Spiti (Kaza, Losar).

This is not travel — this is real extreme winter survival.

This is not just a vlog — this is survival, patience, and raw winter adventure in Ladakh.

I woke up to a breathtaking morning while rooftop camping in the heart of winter Ladakh. Snow everywhere, complete silence, and temperatures well below freezing. During the night, heavy snowfall covered my rooftop tent, and as soon as I opened the door in the morning, all I could see was endless white — mountains, roads, and valleys completely buried under snow.

This journey takes you through the magical land of Lamayuru, where winter feels unreal and untouched. From clearing snow off the rooftop tent to starting the vehicle in freezing conditions, every small task becomes a challenge. Black ice roads make driving extremely dangerous, demanding full focus and patience.

The vlog captures an extreme winter drive while crossing Fotula Top, one of the toughest sections in this season. Slippery roads, zero grip, and unpredictable weather — one wrong move could change everything. Along the way, I also met local dogs struggling in the cold and shared food with them, a small moment of warmth in this harsh environment.

As daylight fades, the journey continues into the night, driving carefully toward Drass, known as one of the coldest inhabited places in India. Snowfall, frozen roads, isolation, and pure wilderness — this is Ladakh in its rawest winter form.

This video is about rooftop camping in extreme winter, real overlanding challenges, mental strength, and experiencing Ladakh beyond tourism. No luxury, no shortcuts — just nature, snow, and the road ahead.

If you love extreme travel, winter camping, off-roading, and real adventure, this vlog is for you.
