If this young lady hasn't met Steve yet I hope this makes the connection.  It is really neat hearing Steve Martin covered covered.  Maybe if he finds this subscribes the algorithm will deliver some viral magic for her.  She deserves it for all the warm banjo tones she has delivered to my feed this cold winter.

I've been playing banjo for a long time and I must say this young lady plays really good. The touch is warm and inspiring..

Listening to this while fixing a carburetor at sunset, this is zen, man

This 75 year old Texas rancher loves phoebes banjo picking !!

Mr. Martin would be proud.💜

I've watched a few versions of this (even Steve's), and keep coming back to this one. I'm still working on my own version 🙂

Beautiful tune and performance. Explains why I return…again and again.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

What a wonderful sound! Open Back Banjo music is almost like a leaf or a feather 🪶 being tossed by the wind... it is soothing and so pleasnt to listen to, and you play it so well!! Thanks Phoebe!!

The  ending "nailed it" click smile gave such a belly laugh. fabulous work.

There is different types of banjo playing but she seems to be pursuing the pure form so far

There's something extremely nostalgic-sounding about how you play. I'm definitely going to see if I can get my slides that smooth!

This is so good and so much better than the endless stream of videos with the dancing puppets, they were cute but got old.  This video is one of your best.

It is an iconic tune played beautifully. Not a single note misplaced!!! Keep doing what you're doing my friend!!

you play that so beautifully! Thank you for sharing.
I love the chrome banjo strap too, where did you find that?

Phoebe you are brilliant ❤️❤️🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Looks like your views and subscriber list is growing nicely Phoebe.  Congratulations.Oh and yes Steve Martin was great on the SNL playing the banjo.  He was good, and he had a blast playing it.The algorythem pulled up your extended version of this, and so i opened it up and just started listening.  I'm the youngest of 6 children, and I'm the last one left.  I enjoyed listening to your banjo rendition, while remembering all the wonderful times I had with my family, and knowing how Blessed we were with such a good bunch.  I have nothing but fun menories of all of them, and really miss the nights we played our instruments and sang on the front porch as kids, and sat around the open hearth fireplace in the winter and just talked and told stories untill bed time.  Thanks for the mood music needed for that Pheobe.  I really needed this daily dose of banjo.

Ive never really liked banjo playing, but she got me interested, and i like her sense of humor 😅

you should  Sooooo tour with Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers. they came thru Portland Maine a few years ago but I didn't have the Moola to get to see them, I'm still cursing myself, if they ever come back to Portland Maine I hope your with them. ✌️forever
Miss PHOEBE SANDERS from a fan always SPACE RANGER JYM 🚀

I like her interpretation

I heard this version before the Steve Martin version and I actually think you play it better!
