Thank you for the video.  Busan was my home town before I left for America back 42 years ago.  Will be visiting one day.  Just for the record, I wanted to give little more info on Gamcheon Village you visited.   This place was occupied by people fleeing North Korean army back in 1950.  People needed place to stay but this hills and mountain top was only available space.  That’s the reason why you see streets with steep hills.  People didn’t want to redevelop this historical area that rooted with pain and suffering of people during the war so they recreated the village with artistic vibe.  Hope this helps you understand the background.

I was a military brat and went to high school in Pusan back in 72-74. Lived in the dorm as a teen, great experience. Pusan was nothing like this back then, but it was cool. I need to go back.

Hey guys just saw your video, it's a little late but just to answer your question about the 'weird' power outlet in your lov.. i i mean your hotel, the button switches from 'standby' (blue) to 'always on' (red) mode. Some electronic devices still draw a tiny amount of energy even when turned off so standby mode automatically cuts the power completely off to prevent "phantom" energy drain. If you're say trying to recharge a phone or pad the energy draw may be too small and it would cut off completely in 'standby mode' so you would need to switch it to the red 'on mode'.
Korea's government had a big push to make the country more 'energy efficient' following global trends so you have all this new tech being developed.

Also the hotteok is made from a mixture of wheat flour AND 'sweet rice' or glutinous rice flour dough which gives it its chewy gummy bear like texture. If you like it chewier and the sweetish flavor, look for stands that specifically sell 'chapsal (찹살)' hotteok as they will have a higher ratio of glutinous rice flour.
Oh and the emergency evacuation rope is there because as you may have noticed Korean buildings don't have exterior fire escape ladders so as a safety measure some commercial places have them. You hook the end of the rope to the wall anchor and then slide into the padded harness and then repel yourself out of the window like you see rock climbers or new recruits at military training boot camp repel down walls.

I've been to Busan two times...love it there.❤

A few things I just wanted to explain while watching video.

- What you found in motel room is descending life line, which you can use to escape in case of fire. I think government law force them to place them in each room, make it visible or something.
- Convenient store things are a little pricey as they operate 24/7 and they are pretty much everywhere. You can buy better drinks in cheap cafe and they are not DIY. (But it will be still cheap enough for most people imo. In tourist spots, convenient store will be cheaper option compared to other places as well)
- Weather in Korea is extremely hot and humid during Summer and cold in Winter. Best time to probably visit is April~June and September~November.
- Busan is city that's known to have worst driver (not badly skilled, but shitty ones). It might be from perception, but you all saw how road is like over there.
- Public Safety warning have 3 different types, and as you pointed out, one of them sends very trivial messages frequently, so people usually turn that off.

The hotel you stayed in is called a motel in Korea. It's cheaper than a hotel. I'm telling you because I have information that subscribers see. Many motels put up signs saying they are hotels, but Koreans can see it clearly. Anyway, you are showing Korea in three dimensions and having a fruitful trip.
