Guy Ritchie movies get too baroque later on, but this and the one before ("Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels") are peak crime comedies.

Brad's accent is extremely accurate in this despite what you might think ❤

I totally adore this movie! I can watch it any number of times

Actually, it’s a British film so all the actors and director apart from Brad Pitt, Benicio Del Toro, Dennis Farina were British.

This was Jason Statham's second movie, that's why he's not an action hero here, he was taken off the street for Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels. He was paid £5000 for that and £10000 for Snatch. When I say he was taken off the street, I mean that he earned a living by being a street hustler like at the start of Lock & Stock.

Matthew Vaughn who produced this movie has a similar directing style to Guy Ritchie and they have worked on several great movies together, including this and "Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998). A favorite movie by Vaughn for me is Layer Cake (2004) which is another British crime / comedy / thriller.

Thanks for mentioning the music my angel buy massive attack is such a tune

The dialogue in this movie is fantastic. One might even say it's ... tip top.

His "style" is like an old school zany comedy...but with violence ! It reminds alot of "What's Up Doc ?" the RyanO'Neal/Streisand movie.

Another great movie that Brad Pitt is funny in is True Romance. I think he was only in the movie for about a minute or two in total but it was a funny couple of minutes. Great performances all around from a great cast.

Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels I would recommend watching. 👍

Mostly ignored rule nowadays, but to make up for no year zero in the Gregorian calendar, decades start in January of the year x1 and end with December of the year x0. This movie is technically from the 1990s. Technically, and spiritually.

Classic. Whilst I think of classics, I think you guys would enjoy “Kevin and Perry Go Large”

Looking forward to watching the reactions to that 🤣

all the accents i thought were bang on,  in the UK you can drive 20 mins and a whole new accent appears, most of this was probably the cockney accent from the east end of london, but its not just the accents, its the british regional slang, which, for the audience is hard, i admit, but, was authentic, to be honest they could have gone way further using the cockney rhyming slang. I think they played a good balance, of accents an slangs, not to put it to far out of the reach who dont know it so much.

Loved your reaction to this and The Gentleman. You’ve got a new subscriber! Greetings from the UK 😉

Love your reaction and yes the gentleman is a must, new sub and much love from 🇬🇧

22:34 He wasn't an action star yet. He hadn't been in a single action movie yet when this came out. The Transporter was in 2002, which is his first action movie, unless you count Ghosts of Mars from 2001 which is more a horror but could be counted as action horror.

Great reaction to a great film 👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😍

The dogs chasing the rabbits are not Dobermans they are Whippets. In the other ones are Rottweilers

Would love to see you guys react to Sin City. Also, Scott Pilgrim Vs The World
