One comment I will say and I'm sure you brothers and other muslims will understand that ultimately true unity comes through our shared Muslim identity and the Ummah. Yes, being able to coexist with other religions and being in touch with your own ethnic people is great but the core gift we have is Deenul Islam. I know it's not an islamic based podcast but I like when you talk about ummah related stuff. Free Palestine, Free Sudan , Free Kashmir, Free Uyghurs

Bro Essa.. Alperton was a terrible school, I followed the same pathway at that same school and MashAllah you've done well ❤... And the absolutely spot on about the Kashmiri thing it's very heartbreaking I've come across a few of my time but what nothing to do with Pakistan.. the fact is growing up in Wembley many are from Kashmir that you go to school with..

Brum also got hella Chachis and other people from NW Pakistan. Back in the day it was more mostly Mirpuri but these days it's more mixed

Salam boys. There is a thing in AJK of independence and majority do want this. As a mirpuri from AJK I would happily join pak as many of us would from a pan ummah mindest paradigm and also because of love for pak.But with horrendous leadership and the main reason being the amount of racism we get from punjabis makes us double down on our Kashmiri (not ethnically) identity. We make over 70% of the 'pakistani' population and been here since 40s and even earlier. Predominantly set up the masjid and shops etc in UK and were at the forefront of the fight againts racism but get no credit and looked down upon. After the recent lock down and killings in AJK by Pakistani forces has made this identity stronger. Food, medicine, Internet was locked off for months and so many killed. Yes there are issues in our community like everywhere else but this stigma of backwards thats attached to hs is mainly done to subdue us and dehumanising us. Shabana mahmood one small example of how untrue this stigma is. Alot of the issues we face are social/economical ones. One example bham which is heavily a kashmiri area, one of biggest drug dealer there is punjabi. Rotherham grooming gang leader who was ment to be departed was a punjabi. So this hate needs to to stop. And you can see from the children that this is propaganda told on like aunty's tales by there elder generation.
