In this video I'll show you how I manage colors, shadows and normals to create stylized fur in EEVEE using Blender's geometry nodes hair system. As a bonus I show a simple way to animate a wind effect. This technique will work particularly well for anime style.

7:20 I've been trying to make this work on a character for a week now but no matter what I do, this doesn't seem to make any difference as soon as the character is animated with an armature deformation. The fur does follow the mesh but it doesn't seem to copy how the normals react to light. What should I do?
EDIT: Solution found! If anybody else is having issues with it, add an "Attach Hair Curves to Surface" modifier bellow all the other hair curve modifiers on the fur object and select the character's base mesh as "Object" and keep the Surface UV map as "UVMap" (or whatever your UVMap is called).
