I’m a new rider 3 months in and 43.
Got the ZX-4RR.. brilliant bike plenty power looks and sound amazing, get comments all the time!

My ZX4RR is the most enjoyable motorcycle, I have ever had and I have had a lot of motorcycles, being a rider for over 53 years, and being 72 years old.

I loved mine immediately. It needs a derestriction where I live. I owned it less than 24 hours before a deer strike out it in the Kawasaki hospital. Can't wait to get it back and tune it.

Great review, I’ve done 4 track days at Castle Combe and it’s awesome! The bonus about this bike is you can have fun on it without getting to licence losing speeds too often 😂

I had the original ZXR400. I love the look of the old bikes pure race.. old one 140mph on the road..it was all about the handling. 👍🏻 them days the big boys was only on 750. So it didn't seem to far of the pace....

I have the same bike in the same color scheme (40th anniversary). Mine is a 2024 model which I bought in December 2023. I already have over 15,000 miles on it. I only average around 38 miles a gallon. I drive it extremely spirited in the wide open roads of South Florida.

I owned ridden cbr1000rr blade, back to cbr600. Always wanted a 250. Bought one 2 years ago. SIngle cylinder 23hp, love it more than any other bike. Is not about the power!

I agree with everything you say. It also has the bonus of cheap road tax. Currently £57 not £87 like the zx6. The less paid to the government the better IMO.

You're wrong the zx4rr does indeed display fuel range on top of it having a fuel gage.

When you down shift auto-blip is there a preferred rpm or its ok to just down shifting?

Wouldn't the diff between road and dyno be wind resistance? I can only get 130 mph out of mine, with ecu reflash.

I'm 39, about to do my mod 2, I was originally looking at a monster 937 till this came on my radar, love the look of this. Then the last day or two I've been looking into the z900.
What do you think between the zx4rr and z900 as a first bike? I know the answer may seem obvious, but do you think you could quickly get bored of the zx4rr having ridden them both?
