FIrst time riding the new Triumph Bonneville T120, it surprised me I didn't expect this.

Sandi on a Mission

I picked up the Triumph Bonneville T120 from Team Roberts, who are a certified Triumph motorbike dealer in Conisbrough, near Doncaster in South Yorkshire and I was originally supposed to have it for the whole day, but I had to cut my test ride short as my husband had been taken into hospital. (He is well on the way to recovery now) I took the bike on fast roads, twisty roads, urban and rural roads and got a real feel for it. I had sat on Bonnevilles before and always found them on the small side but actually riding one felt different. It's very much a classic motorcycle with some really great modern features and it surprised me.
I am considering downsizing my "big bike" and on the look out for the next motorcycle for my stable, so the Bonnie is a very good contender. Come with me on this motovlog and see what happens when I ride the Bonnie for the first time.

Its nice to see a bike being ridden and reviewed without being revved into oblivion like so many other channels do.

Now that's what I call a real bike! Traditional style and colours, not looking like some type of insect, as so many bikes do these days. 👍👍

Thanks for this thorough road test. As a T120 owner, I agree with your assessment. These bikes are just gorgeous, very comfortable and performance befitting the style of the Bonneville.

Sandi went for a trundle around the countryside but the bike she rode may come as a small surprise, a Bonneville T120 was her choice and the pleasure of the bike came through in her voice, round the country lanes and through the twisty bends she was hoping this day would never end, she sat on a bench for a rest and had too keep looking at the bike she chose to test, the old fashioned looks and the retro round dials made are Sandi's face beam with big smiles, the joy of the day was there for all to see now she sits at home thinking is this the bike for me.

Lovely video Sandy, I love the British Countryside and your review is inspiring, Im late to the game started at 60, now 63, your riding encourages me to get out as do your older commentators. Thank you.

My brother rides a T120 and I have the T100. We have both fitted small fly screens which come up to the height of the clocks. They relieve wind pressure on the body without hindering your view. Triumph heated grips are good. We both have bar end mirrors for the best rear vision. The T100 is 5 speed gear box and the T120 six speed. Mostly we don't ride very fast, I get 70+ mpg on the T100. The 6th gear on the T120 is almost an overdrive and reduces fuel consumption at higher speeds. I like the neutral engine. It will do whatever speed you want, some bikes don't ride well at lower speeds but the Bonnies run well throughout the rev range.
Glad you enjoyed your ride. On our bikes the cruise control works from 28 mph up, then new Bonnevilles will cruise at 20mph. Cruise control is an add on for the T100 and standard on the T120.

Great review Sandi 👏. I've just passed my test and picking up my T100 next week, I'm beyond excited. Your review told me everything I wanted to know about the Bonneville, from a ladies perspective so thank you so much for that, we are the same height too and you look good on her ❤️

Gday from Australia 😊. Love your vid, you ride like me. 😂

I also ride a tiger, and they did me dirty at my service by giving me a T100 (the 900cc version of the T120) as a courtesy bike. Massively less practical, but I'm so tempted!
