High Gamma GT | Causes and Solutions
Gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT) levels are a marker of liver function. When the liver can no longer keep up, these levels can become excessively high. Alcohol consumption is still too often presented as the primary cause of elevated GGT. However, other factors are now far more significant. A high GGT level indicates liver overwork. It often increases when the liver is fatty (hepatic steatosis).
Understanding the causes of elevated GGT levels allows us to relieve the burden on the liver by addressing the underlying causes. What dietary changes can be implemented to quickly lower GGT levels?
