When I see this loco, I always think of the line from Red Dead Redemption where Landon Ricketts says "I was the fastest in my time, I must've been, I'm the only one left"

both of which
any of the class of
i never got to cop
back in my
trainspotting days..
i remember hoping
to see D8568 on
longsight but never
did...happily
i did get to see
some loco classes
most will never
have seen like the
two class forty
ones and the class
twenty one at
barry some class
twenty twos in
the china clay days
and the prototype
HS4000 kestrel
at crewe works
before it was
exported to russia..
i never saw a baby
deltic class twenty
three either
although i believe
that they're trying
to cobble together
one from bits and
pieces of scrap
metal...never
be the same as the
real thing though.
