📢 This course will teach anyone interested in a step-by-step reconstruction of ancient Mesopotamian religion. From religious institutions and artifacts, we will gradually move toward religious ideas. Our primary goal will be a non-empathic reconstruction of the act of faith itself. We have ample, diverse sources to understand how and what the Sumerians, Babylonians, and Assyrians believed, and how their faith differed from that of Jews and Muslims.
