I feel like removing Arnold’s death scene was actually for the best. It’s a lot more tense because we don’t know he’s dead, so his arm turning out to be just an arm is much more shocking.

I always liked the darker side of the Jurassic franchise, absolutely class video man

My favorite removed element of the first film was from the first draft that Michael Crichton wrote himself: Ian Malcom was left out of the story entirely, and his injury was replaced with Donald Gennaro being injured. I cannot help but wonder what direction the franchise would’ve gone in if that had been the actual film. People could say the film wouldn’t have been successful without Malcolm, but general audiences wouldn’t have even known about the character not being there.

12:05 ayyy shout-out for the muldoon logs. They are good stuff. There are some inconsistencies but it's a fun watch

I will never forget watching that Muldoon scene as a kid (8) in the theater watching the raptors. Next thing I know I’m living with raptors in my room that night 🤣 😅

Now if only they’d give us all a 3hr, hard R-Rated movie or a well funded mini series that was faithful to the original source material. We can have our cake and eat it too. The original Jurassic Park will continue to entertain families for generations, a true to source Rated R version isn’t going to change that.

One that I remember in the novel was Dennis Nedry """He waved his hands wildly to ward off the attack he knew it was coming. And then there was a new searing pain, like a fiery knife in his belly. Nedry then stumbled reaching blindly down to touch the ragged edge of his shirt, and then a thick slippery mass that was surprisingly warm. Then in horror, he suddenly knew he was holding his own intestines in his hands, the dinosaur had torn him open, his guts had fallen out. Nedry fell to the ground and felt something scaly and cold. It was the animals foot, and then there was a new pain on both sides of his head, the pain grew worse and as he was lifted to his feet, he knew the dinosaur had his head in its jaws and the realization was followed by a final wish. That it would all be ended soon." Speaking of, isn't it rather ironic that both Nedry and Dodgson both died at the hands of a dilophosaurus

Holy shit! I never knew just how dark the Jurassic lore truly is! I'm so glad we finally got to see the river raft scene in Jurassic World Rebirth, though it would've been nice to see it in Jurassic Park! And even though the deleted scenes were gruesome, I wish they would've kept them in the final version! Shadows, my friend, absolutely epic video today! Loved it! Keep up what you're doing! You're the best!

Edit: Can you please do a video about the missing InGen records about Isla Sorna and the fate of Dennis Nedry's family?

6:33 okay…. This make the Jurassic Park river adventure ride at Islands of Adventure wayyyyyy more special

2:28 I thought the same for the longest time. It wasn’t until I was older that I realized they were talking about actual pieces of his body.

I actually never noticed Ellie holding the leaf! I always just thought she was reading off lab report of the dino stats. I just never remembered that part of the scene since I only remembered the group in awe because of the brachiosaurus lol.

The rant about the AI stuff was so nice to hear btw :)
