To this day possibly the greatest baseball game I’ve watched

That play by Raburn in the 10th will forever be one my all time favorite moments. I think about this game all the time

My friend recorded this game as we both had to work that night. We were both ignoring as many people and conversations as possible so we wouldn't have the game spoiled for us. It was WELL WORTH IT.

that game was the last game at the METRODOME/other than the playoffs...what a way to go out...

One of the greatest baseball games you’ll ever see

Best game 163 of all time and should be the only “Game 163” people reference by that name.

I was at this game. It was incredible

Randomly thinking of this game in 2024. What a game.

Best game I've ever been to besides game 1 in 91. Energy was electric all game. Coolest part was after the game the place was so loud for so long and no one was leaving.....the whole team came out and ran a victory lap around the fences. And then we all still stayed for another 20 min or so. The roaring never stopped.

Big Twins fan. This is my favorite game in baseball history. Great pitching and defense. Big, clutch swings. Everything I want in a baseball game.

Nick Punto’s play in the top of the 12th was absolutely incredible.

I could call a old friend just mention that game. Would make his day. We were at the bar to watch that game. Nobody else at the bar cared. We got everyone into it though. That was a great day😂

Im surprised that the Brandon Inge Hit By PItch (his jersey got touched) in the top of the 12th inning with the bases loaded was not shown.  This was a controversy that should have given the Tigers the lead

I attended two World Series games in 1987 and game 2 in 1991.  At that point the 1987 Game 4 in the playoffs vs Detroit (Laudner/Gaetti pickoff play) was still the greatest Twins game I ever saw.  Then I was lucky enough to be at the Dome for game 163 in 2009, THE GREATEST BASEBALL GAME I'VE EVER SEEN!

Third consecutive season with a game 163, with the Twins being involved in the 2008 one as well

A pretty good start for TBS postseason baseball, with them getting games 163 in each of its first 3 seasons covering post-game-162 baseball starting in the 2007 season, and all 3 games 163 were spicy.  (Padres-Rockies, Twins-WSOX, Tigers-Twins)

And TBS almost got games 163 in both 2010 and 2011

I remember watching this game barely caring who won w the exception of wanting the Metrodome to be extended w baseball

"THERE'LL BE NO PLAY! THE TWINS HAVE WON THE CENTRAL!"

Wow! I know that I'm very late to the party but what a party it was!!

What an amazing game!  I was watching a top 10 list on another channel and when they got to this one,
I press3d pause and went looking for some highlights. Man did I find em!

Hats off to the editor. I've watched a lot of videos like this, in abbreviated form.

This was very well done.  One of the best highlight package I've seen!

Only 1 little  thing I would change, add an extra minute of the celebration, at the end  :)

We all love home team celebrations!  Unless you're the losing team. ,lol

Cheers from Canada

Favorite sporting event of my life, cried like a baby. 4th row 3rd base. Punto: It sounds dirty but it’s not.

By far the best game of baseball I have ever seen in person. I was sitting in upper right field. The air was electric, it was so loud. As much as I despised the dome, it did get loud as fuck in there, which was a huge advantage for us.

Also I choose to not think about what happened after this game.
