Keep up the curly content! All of us curly girls thank you 😊

Same concept for wavy hair? How about a second day video?

@ElderGenX 7 months ago

Help us pick a stylist! I haven’t had a stylist that I felt like “got me” since the 80s.

Hormones can change your hair texture & volume. My first sign of thyroid issues was thinning hair. It's pretty normal for women of a certain age to have a change in texture as grey hair starts coming in.

Anyone doing all of these things for years AND STILL have frizz?

@brightc5657 7 months ago

Hey, fellow curlies … Justin’s tips here are excellent and I have a few tips of my own. (1) If you must dry your hair with a hair dryer, point the tip downward to not fluff or frizz your curls. (2) If you’re a side sleeper, use several very tiny claw clips to pin up your side curls, placing them far enough back so you can comfortably lay your head on your silk pillow. In the morning, take out the clips and revive your curls by finger-tips-on-scalp "fluffing." (My hair is chin length. You may need larger clips if your hair is longer.) This has been a game changer for me. Compliments almost every day. 😊

When you go through hair school, do they not go over curly hair? The reason I ask is how many stylists use a terry towel and roughly rub curly hair. I am cringing in my chair every time. (I’ve asked them not to do this to no avail). I go straight home and rewash and style my hair.

@jeanw2018 7 months ago

Totally agree, especially hands off til it’s 100% dry. I wish I could find a stylist with naturally curly hair. They would understand.

A silk bonnet is life changing

Thank you Justin.Now I know that I shouldn't touch my hair until it's dry. Love the curly girl content and I appreciate that you made some time for us curly girls.🥰

If I absolutely have to touch my hair or add more products when it’s wet before a cast is set, I ALWAYS wet my hands before touching it, or before adding products. This way I can actually get away with it without creating frizz.

@MusicLover-sb7mo 8 months ago

So true about not touching your hair and so hard. The curl does what it wants to, differently each day, so the urge to manipulate to the place you desire takes over. Then you end up with an even worse result. The products with the cast often look flakey when you break them apart. Thanks for recommending some options!

My hair reflects my health. If I am dehydrated, my hair will be. If I am ill, my hair will not cooperate. You have to eat right and take care of your whole self.

I'm so frustrated with my curly silver hair that I just booked an appointment with my stylist to chop it all off. Now I'm second guessing that decision.

I've been vegan for over 10 years and it's always a shock for people when they see my hair. I love to cook and I really make time for it. I often eat tofu or soaked oatmeal.My hair is 65 cm long and thick. I personally rinse my hair with a liter of water, a tablespoon of unfiltered apple cider vinegar, and leave it in my hair.

@aemelia1 7 months ago

I use 100% Aloe Vera gel and it creates a caste. I let it dry naturally. My curls are nice and soft.

@puddindeb 8 months ago

Thank you for making more curly hair content! My hair got curlier as it became more gray, and it has taken me a few years to learn how to manage it. I love the tip about feeding your hair from the inside!

@missdanimack 8 months ago

I'm so grateful to work from home so I can let my hair completely air dry while I'm working. It really does make a difference. My favorite gel is Ouidad's Advanced Climate Control. It does such a great job with my hair.

I always have thought eating a peanut butter sandwich every weekday for lunch fron kindergarten through college graduation gave my hair the fat and protein it needed. I've always had healthy hair.
