You can easily send a 130-grain TTSX downrange @ 3000 fps with a 20-inch barrel with at least a half-dozen powders and it will kill anything you hit properly.

Barnes vortx ttsx 130gr gets 3125 in a 24" barrel. Extremely good ammo with deep penetration.

My 40 year old hand load shoots a 165 grain Sierra game king at 2800 fps and shoots very good in all my rifles.

2:24 the industry standard for velocity numbers is a 24” barrel(unless otherwise noted on the box). You typically lose at least 25-30 fps per inch

Most of us only need one shot for what we do show us a group of cold barrel shots

y'all need to take a look at the vortex nation's 0.308 super. its more than just muzzle velocity. its more energy down range on target.

Blue box brass, 26” barrel and powerpro 2000 will run 168s at 2930’s. 180’s at 2790’s

Accuracy is far more important than a faster bullet. Learning BDA and the bullet you use is far better.

Just get some 130 Barnes.

I get 2945 with my 20" barrel and Hornady superformance

I purchased a Rem 700 PSS back in 95’ after my first deployment. It's had been collecting dust in the back of my safe until someone at work turned me on to CFE 223. I'm getting 2920 fps (26” barrel) with 168s and no pressure with once fired Fed brass.  It will be interesting with 150 gr class projectiles and the Peak alloy will accomplish.  It's been fun to get the old rig out in the sun.
